Sometimes I forget how curated my tumblr dash is cuz I loved your 4/13 art, gave me a brief reminder of all the joy of homestuck when it was real big.

But because I kinda avoided the fandom when it was big (outside a select few blogs) I forgot that there were some toxic peeps about that cared more than a little too much -_-

Also love the stuck at home name, non-english speakers are always so much more clever with fandom names. It brings me joy!!! Do any other fun fandom (in general not jus homestuck) names come to mind? I only know English so I don't get to experience/understand any of the more creative things across the seas.

oh absolutely. maybe it’s missing the interactions themselves, maybe it’s missing how internet as a whole was back then (with HEAVY rose tinted glasses ofc) but homestuck definitely makes me feel nostalgic.

every big gathering of people will have its fair share of… well let’s call it people with too much free time, and they’re usually the loudest. It used to bother me a lot but I realized that denying myself the chance to experience something I enjoy just because there’s a vocal group being assholes about it kinda sucks. Your fandom should be you and like two other friends and that’s more than fine.

honestly I’m the wooorst person to ask this because I suck at getting into new things LMAOO but I love non conventional or just silly names for fandoms. not to toot my own horn but I do love how a lot of the time brazilian fans will take an english name and turn it into portuguese - not translating it, but making it sound like portuguese, like

homestuck > os homestuckeiros

sonic > soniqueiros (heard at a convention a group of teens saying soniquetes)

kpop > kapopeiros

nothing big or super creative but I find it very endearing

I wanted to say I adored the Homestuck art, and I'm sorry you're getting the reception you did. I know that kind of thing can be really frustrating x-x I love and appreciate all of your work so much. Seeing your Homestuck art brightened my day and instantly teleported me back to the good ole days when I was first discovering the fandom <3
