almost done w this gd showcase app. i've learned a lot along the way and now the perfectionist/ocd in me wants to go back and clean up the code, but it's just so big now that it seems like it'd be very stressful. idk if it's worth it, but it bothers me lol. but i guess if it's not broke, don't fix it

kindergarten through second grade they always made us say the pledge of allegiance in both english and spanish. i moved schools and i never had to say it in spanish after that. i don't know if it was bc the new school had less hispanic attendance or if they just changed it in all schools, but i wish it hadn't stopped. thinking back, it seemed to promote diversity and maybe helped some esl kids not feel left out. i never could pronounce the words correctly being that young, but i was always jealous of the kids who could lol
