JILY FIC RECOMMENDATIONS

There are currently more than a hundred of my absolute favourite Jily fics here which are organised in alphabetical order and into the categories Hogwarts, Post-Hogwarts, If They Lived, AU and One-Shot Collections. Because there are so many, I’ve put them under a cut, so you’ll have to click ‘keep reading’ to see the rest.

All fics are complete because I can’t handle unfinished things (that’s why The Life and Times and Commentarius aren’t officially on here, in addition to the fact that everyone has already probably read them). I would recommend checking out other fics by these authors, too, these are just my absolute favourites. You can comment on this post or message me with any fics that you think belong on this list (including your own, if you’re so inclined). Also, please let me know if there are any broken links so I can try to fix them.

Alarming and Beautiful by stolen-whispers - What she didn’t realize until after she agreed to go out with him was that these things were piling on his shoulders until he was hunched under the weight of the world and it was all he could do not to throw it off and watch it shatter. (rated M)

As someone who has been living with severe suicidal ideation my entire life I wanna tell you all something, you don’t have to stay alive for yourself. People will say it’s a bad idea to live for external things because they’re temporary, and it’s true living for yourself is ideal but if you’re not to that point yet that’s ok too. 

I’ve lived for my dog for the past 4 years, before that I lived for my snakes, before that I lived for my cat. You can live for whatever needs you and whatever matters to you. Live for your best friend, live for your plants, live for your pets, live for your animal crossing town. Live for whatever keeps you alive and the day will come when you can live for yourself.

Transformers kept me alive. When the 2007 movie was announced I was going through an incredibly hard time emotionally. I saw the preview and every time I thought about killing myself I thought, “but then I won’t get to see this thing I’ve always wanted to see, good or not.” And it got me through.

You probably have seen many videos of Palestinian victims online. Did you notice that not a single Palestinian person was cursing the israeli people or wishing death and suffering upon them? None of them, even the parents who lost their kids, kids who lost their parents, people who lost their siblings, spouses, relatives- not a single soul cursing at israeli people, none of them seeking for revenge. Rather they're praising The Creator (Alhamdulillah, SubhanAllah etc) . Their faith is unshakable, their humanity is admirable and their heart is so big it's unmeasurable.

I've never seen victims of such atrocities showing such grace and patience.

On the other hand, I'm seeing many israeli citizens mocking them, making fun of their pain, wishing death upon them. Just uncouth, classless, heartless, barbaric behavior. They're a bunch of cowards, losers, pathetic bunch of backward minded people existing in the 21st century.

Palestinian people are leagues above those Zionists when it comes to showing grace and humanity.
