honestly it's a very wholesome feeling and everytime I look at my username I fall more in love with tgcf/hualian 😭😭😭

And I'm also incredibly grateful - quick story behind this but I paid actual money for this URL (sounds crazy BUT my love for tgcf has always been huge) I saw it not being used and I took a chance and messaged the previous owner - they were SO nice and agreed to selling the URL to me and boom I am now the proud owner of hualian.tumblr.com :')

Realizing Xie Lian got his (bad) cooking skills from his mother - as they were royalty and did not know how to cook, their cooking skills are more cooking ✨️feelings✨️

Realizing that Xie Lian's dishes are all extravagantly named just as his mother named her dishes, and she did so because all dishes in the palace were given a name and just because they're not in a palace and fine dining, why should food naming conventions stop?

Realizing that while Xie Lian's terrible cooking and dish names may be funny, they're also a reflection of his love for his mother and the way he keeps her memory alive.
