Urban Cityscapes Blanketed In Light And Darkness As Oil Paintings
Artist Jeremy Mann (previously featured here) creates oil based paintings that reflect the mercurial nature of light within cityscapes. Using the ever present artificial lightings and imposing silhouettes of skyscrapers as a framework to show the urban landscape, the artist plays with the natural light of dawn and dusk that seep within the city and cloud it in a blanket of mystery or calm. The obscure patches of oil paints are brushed on as multiple layers, some detailed and strong, other textured or smooth which makes the scene appear as fusion of multiple images imposed together.
“A recently declassified photograph showing the execution of 1,800 South Korean political prisoners in Taejon over three days in July 1950. The retreating South Korean Army feared that the suspected communist sympathizers might collaborate with the advancing North Koreans. Both sides routinely executed citizens and soldiers alike as the fighting continued.”

That gave me a good chuckle
Make the first move, tell people how you feel, stop being so scared of rejection, stop feeling so engulfed with thoughts that aren’t even yours, and stop wasting your fucking time.

If you’re lonely, bored or unhappy, remember you are young. There is so much time to meet new people and go to new places.

My pride is stronger than my feelings. Don’t try to play me. I could think of you 24/7 and you still wouldn’t hear from me.
