Since this pandemic happened, many people have been affected. The normal routine and the things we used to do in our everyday life have changed. It is really hard to cope up in this new setting of our life. Face masks, face shields, alcohol, sanitizers, and all the disinfecting materials are now part of our daily existence. 

Everytime I go out, I see people distant with each other because of the fear that they might get infected, a fear that they might be the person that will spread the virus to other people, especially their family. This pandemic has burdened a lot of individuals; from the scarcity of goods, insufficient funds, incompetent government and not educating the people about this virus have worsened the situation. Everyday, thousands of people are suffering and dying of this virus, however we must not forget that these numbers of cases are people too and they have a family mourning their loss.

Enhanced community quarantine happened last year and it is like a deja vu that also happened this month of April. Honestly, ECQ last year was way more frightening because of the fact that we are not used to it. However, as time passes by, ECQ is just like a normal thing for us. For me, there are a lot of ways to contribute to the society and one of these is by following the safety protocols of our country. As for me, I did not go out of our house during the whole ECQ time because it is the least that I can give to the safety of my community. 

I always keep myself busy as a way of my coping mechanism, the last ECQ made me have all the time to do all my pending school work and to focus on doing our research. I also tried making desserts for my family and eating is what I do to cope up. It is also good to watch entertaining videos, but do not neglect the news because we also need to know what is happening in our country, I just tend to lessen watching the news because it makes me feel anxious about the rise of the COVID-19 cases. Last year, because the school year started later that year, the coping mechanism that I did is coloring my hair different vibrant colors like green, purple and pink and that made me survive the ECQ. I also make myself busy by applying for different scholarships to also lessen the expenses in my tuition. 

The Enhanced community quarantine has never been unchallenging for the people. At first I thought that it was going to be easy because I have all the things that I need inside the comfort of my home. However, as I was browsing the internet on a daily basis, I learned that not all of us are in the same situation. At this time, resiliency is not the answer, we should hold accountable all the people who have done this to us especially the government who always put the blame on others and did not want to admit all the things that they have also done. As for the people in our country, do not be afraid to voice your opinion and do not be afraid of our government, we are the ones who take them to their place so they should serve us with truth and integrity.

Why go Digital?
As time passes by, everything is improving and we people also need to cope and adapt to the enhancement in different technical aspects. Media and publishing corporations have the biggest improvement when it comes to this matter. If we can recall, the news and other information are only accessible by print media or the newspapers. However, now that we are in the modern and present time, anyone can access the news or any data whenever they want. The internet and digital technology helps the lives of people, with just one click you can get all the information you need. It also helps the people in the business world as the internet can be their way to be known by the people and use these platforms to have a wider reach of the audience.
There are a lot of benefits when we go digital, it is convenient and free to use, you will surely have a wide range of audience and you can even reach the global audience. For me, going digital will help you to discover more information, as long as you are good at fact checking these websites then you are digitally ready. Going digital is a good thing for me because we also need to modernize when it comes to this matter. Sticking to the old way of relaying and accessing information which is the print media can be a barrier to the people. However, the downside of digital publishing is that not all the people have access to the internet and they are not that modernized to use digital technology, in that case they will still rely on print media like the newspaper to acquire information that they need.

SOCIAL LISTENING

There is a lot to explore when you are on YouTube, by typing any keywords of your choice you will find a lot of videos. Whether it is about makeup, lifestyle, cooking, or fashion, YouTube will have it for you. It is like a google but the YouTube's set-up is more on videos instead of texts and images. YouTube is like a wonderland for vloggers and influencers to showcase their talents in persuading the people to watch their videos. There are a lot of aspiring influencers that take their talent to YouTube to share their knowledge about a certain topic and of course to earn money.

With a lot of videos that you can see on YouTube, there is one that standouts for the Filipino viewers. D-I-Y or do-it-yourself videos are the most famous and most viewed videos on YouTube, but why is it so popular among the viewers? For me, D-I-Y videos are popular because creativity is everywhere, with D-I-Y you are able to to learn it and do it yourself. It is time and money saving because you don't need to have somebody else to do it for you. You can actually watch it for free and do it also for free. The Filipinos like these kinds of videos because I believe that we are creative people and we all love arts and also we are passionate about crafting and D-I-Y-ing different things that we can see in our house.
