i just realized something.

dally was 17 when the movie happened, and darry never wanted ponyboy in trouble while under 18 (since he wasn’t technically an adult) because he would be put in a boys home, but what about dally? he’s still technically a kid to the law. did they just give up on him after years of him running away from the homes, and just let him roam? did they try and put him in one at all? did one officer try n take him under their wing but failed? i need to know this

It looks like it’s similar to the Vancouver disappearances, which also went on for several decades, and was also ignored by police.

Yess Chicago police has been ignoring it for a looong while and they’re making excuses saying “it doesn’t make sense for the killer to only target black prostitutes and skip the white ones” so they feel it’s probably not a serial killer or a cause for alarm🙄.

It’s so disgusting, the killer is targeting black women, especially sex workers and drug addicts in the south side. That’s why no one has cared all this while and they haven’t been taking it seriously. All the deaths have been way too similar to just be a coincidence.

People talk about how no one talks about serial killers, the media doesn’t report them anymore, so they must be in decline, but truth is; there are a lot o serial killers going around currently, but they usually go ignored by the police and unreported by the media because they target poor PoCs, addicts, non-white prostitutes, etc…

They learned what gets attention and what doesn’t and take full advantage of it…
