been playing beta 1.7.3 multiplayer with a friend recently! a bit more recent of a version than i've been used to lately, but i've been having fun learning the quirks.

(and yes, i did make a custom texture pack with older grass and cobblestone textures 😭 it was really fun to make a texture pack in the old format again like i used to in 2012)

being mildly technology illiterate and trying to edit a minecraft resource pack is so funny like why the hell can't i find the tooltip box texture and why is editing a .json file so horrifying

#i use a heavily modified version of the vanilla tweaks resource pack with all the retro stuff turned on #i added a lot of extra “retro” textures and sounds in that aren't included #it's kinda fun but also kinda confusing #meadow is talking #minecraft

finally got a 1.20 world going that i haven't immediately quit! (in this case 1.20.4) obviously my house needs more detailing/furnishing but i'm decently happy with it. building in modern minecraft is a lot more stressful lol. one thing i do absolutely love about 1.20 is the cave generation, much more interesting than the versions i tend to play and a lot more fun to explore. not sure how long term i'm gonna be on this world but i'm enjoying it!

decided to play minecraft for the first time in a month, updated to 1.20.5, and now none of my texture packs work. cool!

after fucking with it for 15 minutes to no avail, i have decided to go back to playing infdev lol

#is it something with the pack.mcmeta file?#no matter what i change it refuses to load any packs #guess i'll wait until someone else figures it out
