With hollowed tendrils at their core, these big birds are able to take flight and glide throughout the skies.

When prey is spotted Zoners will often dive at their target and attempt to pin and impale the being. If there’s a group, they will impale a target and fly away from the others to ensure their meal doesn’t get stolen and so they won’t get attacked.

They’re able to regenerate the membrane between their wings however damaging but enough will ensure they are unable to fly

As a monster grows, their skins hardens to the point it constricts their movements. Tears in the flesh happen the most around areas that require the most moment

However monsters that are able to stay wet or moist, either from being aquatic or from secreting their own mucus or saliva tend to avoid the tearing problem entirely

So his insides are all tendrils you say? 〜⁠(⁠꒪⁠꒳⁠꒪⁠)⁠〜

I'm guessing they move independently and wrap around objects and pick them up?

(I'm not making a dirty joke. Kinda. I just want a hug from the big chested man 🥲)

Pretty much yeah!! If you reduced him to tendrils, he’d have a hard time keeping himself together. It’s why sometimes when I draw him with tendrils peeping out they’re normally curling or trailing upwards, they’re seeking n writhing always.

If you held out your hand to them they’d curl around it, hold and let go, they’ll explore a bit n stuff.

I have a few questions.

How did Valdis come to life?

Why is his chest so big?

How does he see?

What does the inside of him look like anatomy wise?

And what does that mouth do?

Will he accept kisses? If so, how?

1. Valdis, like a good chunk of monsters, were born from the Trees of life!

These trees grow and incubate a lotta plant pod babies!

2. He’s just built like that, but also technically he’s broad chested cause his eye is housed there. Valdis doesn’t rely that much on sight to move around, his smell and hearing are top notch and help him navigate around. If he’s facing you, it doesn’t even mean he necessarily sees you, Bhasura also follow this logic.

3. Anatomy wise! He’s tendrils! Tendrils upon tendrils like all other monsters. The outer layer of his flesh is thick and leathery, the black you see on him is a lot softer and more flexible, but once you get past that layer of skin you hit tendrils. His innards.

4. That mouth is prone to unhinging, biting and consuming!! :)

Each time he opens his mouth his skin n face deform and rip. Lips may be a bit wonky but you can still technically try kissing, or maybe just kiss his mask. It works either way
