LIVE REVIEW & PHOTOS: ASSUMING WE SURVIVE, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO
âI once dropped off my daughter at school in our tour bus, and she was embarrassed!â lead singer of Assuming We Survive, Adrian Estrella told my dad and I, to which my father responded with, âWell of course, dads are supposed to embarrass their kids!â It seems a little cheesy and awkward to have your parent hanging out with you when youâre trying to be cool around the lead singer of your favorite band, but thatâs where I was on Sunday night. The Black Sheep in Colorado Springs is a tiny venue and the parking lot is filled with the smell of pot from the nearby dispensaries, but everyone braved the cold winds to see the headliner.

In anticipation of their upcoming debut full-length, Oklahomaâs Fossil Youth released a music video for their song âLate Night Swim.â The song finds itself in a hard spot between anxiety and fear. It is just the right amount of soft and heavy, while still remaining intricately pleasing.
The video, on the other hand, features the band playing in the background as the main character and his girlfriend deal with their winding relationship.

WATCH: Emarosa, âBlueâ
Emarosa dropped an incredible album, 131, recently. The release has inspired a few music videos from the band, and they have premiered yet another. This time, it is for their track âBlue.â
The video features some cool cinematography, and shows vocalist Bradley Walden struggling in an elevator as he deals with a double of himself. It is a well-shot, tense video that captures the songâs vibes very well.
MY FIRST TIME: Mike & Matt Gevaza â Continental Recording Studio
The first full length album that we recorded at Continental was the selfÂtitled release from Brooklyn based indie rockers John Severin and the Quiet 1s. At the time we were at our gritty Van Dam Street location in LIC. Continental Recording Studio started in Greenpoint, NY in 2008, where we worked endless days and nights honing our craft. We eventually expanded to a location on Van Dam Street in Queens and eventually to our current location is just off of Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City.

A Day To Remember are busy dudes. They are touring alongside one of pop-punkâs biggest bands, Blink-182, and have a new album coming soon. Their latest effort Bad Vibrations drops September 2.
To give fans another taste of what to expect, the group premiered the single âBullfight.â It joins âParanoiaâ and âBad Vibrationsâ as singles released thus far from ADTRâs new album. âBullfightâ has a bit of a different feel instrumentally, but still kicks in when it counts: with one infectious chorus and just the right amount of heavy.
