Hello!! I love this fest idea so much (hi from the heated rivalry fans) but i couldn't figure out what it was bcus :') i use mobile tumblr and there was no bio or pinned post explaining. Or even just a one liner! I think it would help a lot if the fest's concept was accessible on mobile :')

For those of you unfamiliar with bangs in general, the idea is to connect authors to artists, usually following a theme (common ones including pining, or omegaverse, or horror). In a traditional bang, the stories are written first, then artists are able to claim the stories they'd like to do art for on a first-come-first-served basis. In a reverse bang, the art is created first, to be claimed by authors.
This bang will follow a more traditional format, with one big difference. Instead of a singular, unifying theme, we offer a limited pool of prompts from which the authors base their stories. You can see the prompts here and here from the last couple years for the Supernatural version in order to get an idea of what you might be looking at. If you're in the SPN fandom as well, I definitely recommend checking out the fics posted to our blog for the last 2 rounds!
Prompts are submitted over the course of 3 weeks, then the mods will work to narrow them down over the week following. Once we have the prompts settled, we will open up sign-ups! A detailed schedule is being worked on, but we're projecting to open prompt submissions on Oct 1 (we had hoped it would be sooner, but needed to make sure we weren't running up against the next round of the Supernatural version's posts. We want you guys to have your moment to shine!).
The idea, in a nutshell, is to create more stories for certain themes, tropes or ideas - 'more cakes' as it were. Everyone's take on a specific prompt will be different, but will contain unifying elements. It gives people a place where they can find multiple different ways a loved trope/theme has been written. Like when you want to read nothing but friends-to-lovers, or fake dating so you binge every fic you can find!
