“The end,” Puntan and ”the beginning,” Fu’una, were brother and sister. They lived together in harmony for many eons, until one day, Puntan realized he was dying. Fu’una decided to use all of her energy to transform his body into the heaven and the Earth. She made the sun and the moon from his eyes and grew lush jungle from his back. When all of Puntan and all of her energy were used up, Fu’una sank down into the Earth. The place where she landed became Fouha Rock, and from here the first people appeared. In the name of the mother of Guam, the Infinite Charm Fu’una Collection, retells the island’s story as we have come to know it. In this panorama, the land’s unforgettable flora blooms right beside the great fauna of the sea. The island’s oldest memories, the Latte Stone and the Taotaomona, are remembered alongside the Two Lovers and Serena, legends of the Spanish Age. Instead of being carved in stone, these tales are cast in silver to be told and retold again and again.
