Top 10 Great Reasons Why I Quit Looking for a Job
1. I am fed up with riding the emotional roller coaster engineered by the many recruiters who have sold me a false bill of goods. 2. I am exhausted from attending countless networking events each week just to meet with people who are pretending to let me build a rapport with them. 3. The social media tips and tricks for building strong profiles did not help reach my goals (especially since everyone else is using the same tips and tricks). 4. I will no longer seek validation outside of myself via hiring managers, recruiters, job search gurus, career coaches, and anyone else who thinks their opinion reigns supreme. 5. I now ignore the empty cliches and hollow motivational quotes that distract me from taking control of my future and keep me trapped in the rat race. 6. I am creating my own workspace that provides the ambiance, tools, and resources that make me shine consistently. 7. I only align myself with people who support me and appreciate my worth.
8. I am dedicated to finding work that soothes my soul at all times so that I can enhance the lives of others. 9. I will no longer beg, plead or jump through flaming hoops to get others to notice me or see my greatness. 10. I am committed to creating my own luck. It is extremely liberating to eliminate the stress of waiting for someone to come along and give me a chance. I am taking full control of my destiny and I am granting my self the freedom to do what I want.
