Combat hunger by volunteering for a holiday season food drive based at selected grocery stores in the Bay Area on November 21 and 22. Duties will consist of accepting food donations from store patrons and sorting the items into simple categories for temporary storage. If you're willing to arrive for duty around 5 a.m., you can help out by assisting with setup, volunteering at the registration table, serving as course monitor, or staffing a water station. Volunteers will be needed for either a morning or afternoon shift to help with setup, serving of dinner, waiting on tables, distribution of canned goods and clothing to the needy, and cleanup.
