while reading the book of exodus, i thought how amazing would it be to witness such massive and visible miracles through the life of Moses and the Israelites. pillar of cloud and pillar of fire; the red sea being parted! wow! wow! wow! what would it be like to see such miracles.

father God, i pray that you show me Your miracles even the littlest ones, and lead my heart into appreciating them. i want to be in awe of You and of what You do. in Jesus’ name. amen.

I've always been a bit drawn to this historical narrative because sometimes I feel like I am wrestling with God and not letting go until he blesses me. Do you know what I mean?

---- or not letting go until He forgives me. Or not letting go because I cannot do this life without Him, without His guidance. This broken world is so hard to navigate.

God is so gracious and merciful. He could find fault in our every waking day and He could choose to just let us be. But He would always choose to bless us when we wrestle, when we never give up on pursuing Him. Despite ourselves. What a beautiful love.
