Strange Serial Killer Facts
1. Joe Metheny, known as “The Cannibal,” would mix his victims flesh into the burgers he sold at his food stand.
2. Edmund Kemper, known as the “Co-ed Killer,” recorded hundreds of books on tape for the blind while he was in prison.
3. Christman Genipperteinga was, possibly, the most prolific serial killer to have ever lived. It is said that Genipperteinga killed almost 1,000 people in his prolific career. It is said that he was executed by having his body ripped limb from limb. Though, it is unknown if this 16th century German serial killer actually lived.
4. Henry Lee Lucas, when asked why he didn’t partake in eating his victims with his partner Ottis Toole, he replied, “I don’t like barbecue sauce.”
5. When trying to find Soviet serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, Soviet police solved over 1,000 crimes that were unrelated to the case. This included 245 rapes and 95 murders.
6. Joseph Christopher, also known as the “22. Caliber Killer,” tried to admit himself into the Buffalo Psychiatric Center the same month he started to kill. He was turned away from the psychiatric center and recommended therapy instead.
7. A serial killer nicknamed “The Doodler,” was known to sketch his victims before murdering them. Three of his victims survived and there was a suspect identified, but none of the gay men would testify in court in fear of “outing” themselves.
8. Richard Chase would often eat animals raw. He enjoyed blending the raw meat with Coca-cola.
