City Council To Weigh Stance On Tougher Fracking Regulations - CBS Los Angeles

Members of the Los Angeles City Council are expected to consider a resolution calling for tougher regulations on local fracking activities when the Council returns from recess next week.

Residents and city officials have voiced concern over potential risks stemming from current fracking operations in and around the communities of Baldwin Hills, Inglewood and Culver City.

Man fatally shot in Inglewood identified

INGLEWOOD - A man fatally shot in Inglewood was identified Wednesday, and another man wounded in the same attack was hospitalized.

A vigil sits at Crenshaw and 78th street for 18-year old, Inglewood High school student Markeis Parish who was killed in a hit-and-run on the evening of Saturday, July 20. Police allege Parish was crossing at an unmarked point in the street and was struck by a car.
