perhaps if the women talking to her knew who CASSANDRA CAIN was , if she knew what BATGIRL had to go through --- perhaps then she wouldn’t even bother speaking those words. of course , wasn’t it obvious ? bad people that do bad things - deserve to be punished. justice is supposed to served , and then their victims are supposed to have their own sort of relief knowing their perpetrator had karma bite them in the a s s. it was supposed to be like that - but for most cases , and ALWAYS for the most horrible cases , it never does. the pain just eats away at the victims , until one day - they just snap. and when that happens , the only thing to satisfy the monster dwelling in their stomach is to just give in. to give into the pain and let the hunt for revenge take it’s place. but still ..... if there was one thing that she had learned over her years of training and living in GOTHAM , was that the only way to win , to truly win , was to let it go. perhaps that’s why cassandra’s breathing halters as she now wrings her hands together in contemplation.

her claws ALMOST extend towards the direction of the hand that d a r e s to touch her cape. stop !! you’ll get it dirty ! it’s not yours to touch ! -- she almost screams out , her lips slightly parting ; but instead , chooses to take in a sharp breath as she abruptly turns the upper half of her body , snapping the cape out of his fingers as she gathers the rest of it before tucking it safely behind her. her chin tilts upwards , a sort of arrogant poise that overtakes her now , the ears of her BATGIRL mask now tipped backwards.

‘ was there --- uh ... anything you needed ? ‘ her eyebrows furrow together in slight confusion and bitter annoyance considering the fact that no one told her she was on b a b y s i t t i n g duty today. when she was told to come in today this was NOT what she was expecting. the commissioner personally called her in today ( which now she knows why - because if it was anyone else, she would have told them to fuck off , it was her day off ) , told her there was a special case based on the recent deviancy of androids now spreading throughout the city. to cassandra’s knowledge , they sent some people from DETROIT to handle whatever is going on in the city that related to the androids. she wasn’t paying too much attention to this news , since gotham city's own criminals were running rampant since most of gcpd’s force was not aimed towards them ; so she was out almost EVERY night ( as BLACK BAT ) , continuously beating up villains and getting beat up by them. so now she stands there , hovering close by as the officer who led her to the back of the station now leaves - seemingly not even introducing the two , still sore and beaten from the night before , awkwardly grimacing in the others direction.

what can she say ? she had an AFFINITY of finding herself in sticky situations. and this one , was literally a sticky - fucking - situation. it was supposed to be a quiet night , she was just supposed to do her usual routine around the city , she was supposed to just handle the small crime tonight - just look out for anything and then call the gcpd. however , she found herself in ARKHAM , following a few contraband trucks making their way towards the prison city. she was going to stay back , stay out of sight and report back to the police - either in bludhaven or back in gotham , but as she made it towards the docks there were two policemen already there , wrong place wrong time. swooping in , she managed to take down three of the henchmen that came out from the trucks who were about to attack , the officers able to make it back to their cars and call the station. but this wasn’t just some normal shipment , apparently both the JOKER and FALCONE had their names tied into this , and before she knew it , she heard a familiar cackle in the distance.

she had never been to the avengers facility , if anything , she had no need to. most of her time was put into GOTHAM CITY and whatever business other people had with the bats it was their own responsibility to get their attention. especially after her time in hong kong for both the justice league elite and the league of assassins , she would rather stay in gotham than leave to go adventuring outside. however , bruce himself asked her for a huge favor - to go out to NEW YORK and provide the services of wayne enterprises. not only will she be the representative of the corporation , but to monitor the facility and the people in it - a good way to blend and hide her true identity , both providing aid towards their cause and get a good look into what actually is inside. she walks through the building , her guide asking her to stay in the main common area as she quietly waits ; taking a seat adorned in an e x p e n s i v e pant suit , her BLACK BAT mask tucked away in her back pocket as she glances about , keeping watch as she hears the distant voices coming towards her.

this land was quite different from her home land , but then again , so was most everything. she had just entered the city of WESTRUUN , the central city of the kingdom of tal’dorei and where her father sent her to oversee some of the rebuilding of this city. as bustling and busy as this city once was , after the CHROMA CONCLAVE attack , like many other major cities , there was significant damage to sizable structures. and even though most of the city stayed intact , many of the lower class citizens were lost of homes , left to live with nothing - especially after the ancient black dragon UMBRASYL took up residence in the nearby mountains. her father not only sending in supplies to this city , but her as well - as she can ensure that any criminals or left over felonious activity that ran about in the streets remaining from the conclave attack was weeded out of the city ; so that the rest of the citizens would be able to rebuild their new lives in peace. entering into one of the local taverns , adorned in deep purple robes , golden inlays ( seemingly NOT supposed to be there ) she stakes out the place before taking a seat at the bar , waiting for her the person that was supposed to meet her here to speak over some of the rebuilding details.
