Queen of Hell and Goddess of Spring. The Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio would give his lovers Greek nicknames, and he baptized the Marchesa Casati as Coré, after Persephone, the Queen of Hell. Makeup is inspired by La Casati's signature look of black around the eyes, she was fond of wearing ram horns just for a stroll, and sometimes she was seen with a snake as an accessory. This is the first of a series of Casati inspired photos.

New Year's Eve look.
I asked myself what color I use the least and the answer was gold. I'm not very fond of it, I've had this shirt for years and had never worn it before since I had it in my "to fix" pile, to replace the buttons but I really wanted to dress up and put this look together just for fun. Here's a TikTok I made with this makeup:

I might need tips on how to style short hair. I'm thinking of growing it out this year

Sometimes I want to have long colorful hair and wigs fulfill that fantasy. I've saved some old photos of different looks I've done and felt like recreating them. I have nicer makeup and equipment now than I did back them and feel like it's a good exercise to see if my skills have improved. I was going to style the wig similar like in the original photo but decided to pin the pigtails for a Hatsune Miku/Sailor Moon style hair because why not and of course a pair of goggles to complete the look. Did a TikTok video with this look, you can find me there as @tropidarkpr

Recreated a look from 2015. I've lost the weight I gained when I started college and can fit in this shirt once again.😅 I don't wear tight fitting shirts anymore though, I find myself purchasing large sizes for an oversized look. Still, it's nice to be able to fit in my old clothes.
Trastorno
Last painting of the semester. Mixed media on 8"x10" canvas panel. Used acrylic paints and inks, tempera, and varnished it with matte gel medium. My topic is Photodynamism, Futurism, and capitalism as an oppressive system that causes depression and other mental disorders. Part of my proposal is the use of technology and high chroma pigments such as fluorescent paints to use with UV light. I used a program to convert the original photo that @andycolla shot to make it look like a painting and used it as reference. UV lights have a philosophical meaning as well in terms of what we see as well as the color palette. Then it was up to me to figure out how to achieve the color palette and effect I wanted. I'm happy with the result. Definitely learned while painting and looking forward to more paintings like this. The UV photos don't do the painting justice but I tried to capture some of the glow. It looks better in person, the blue gets a bit washed out.
Me, at the start of the semester for my Introduction video and then for my last presentation. A reminder that looking femme does not make a non binary person less non binary. Goth is still my gender. ✌🏼🖤 I gotta say, not having hair makes it so much easier to wear wigs now.
Colorina had a 50% off sale and I bought a few things. They are a Puertorican brand sold at department stores, pharmacies, and other places around the island. Watch me ramble about makeup and shit.
