hii. i love your tumblr, you know soo much news all the time so i gotta ask, did you know if the people who dont live in the US will have some way too see the new season. I wonder because there is a promo on hulu of mindy, is very simple and just her talking but i only have seeing the gifs and not the vídeos because im from south america so i dont hace hulu and im worried ill miss the new episodes... Hope you can answer and keep up the great work

Thanks so much! I’m sorry it’s taken me a couple of days to get to my messages. 

I am also outside the US and have the same issues with watching it. I think officially Season 4 will be played on the same stations in other countries that Season 3 played. For example The Mindy Project Season 3 plays in the UK on a channel called E4, and the season started about 6 months behind the US. 

Unofficially it is possible to watch on hulu from outside the US, in much the same way it was always possible -by using a VPN like MediaHint or Tunnel Bear. Some of those options do cost money though. 

I am very curious though about their model going forward. I assume hulu will continue to offer The Mindy Project to their paid subscribers first, then let the free viewers watch it like a week later? 

Does anyone have any information about this?

i think they typically make the first episode available for free users and then require a subscription for the rest. that’s only based on a while ago when i was trying to look into their original shows, like when deadbeat season 2 first got posted the first episode was free, and the rest required hulu plus. now the whole first season is free and the whole second season requires hulu plus.

I just went to see how much I could watch of Difficult People and all episodes but the newest were available. I am hoping that means it will be like some of their other releases, only a week late for the non paying accounts, but probably only a handful of episodes available at any one time.

I feel like it’s worth mentioning that he “premiere” of difficult people was the first two episodes, and they were available for free accounts last week when they were posted, too. :/

For anyone who's interested, here's what I do to access Hulu Plus (I live in Canada): I purchased a MediaHint subscription (although I believe someone said you can use Hola, which is free). Then I purchased a Hulu Plus gift certificate from eBay and used that to register for an account. So far it's been working wonderfully!

#FandomPubNight - July 25th, 2015

Pull out your wine bras, The Mindy Project wine tumblers, Long Island iced tea panties and cancel all of your plans for July 25th, 2015 because you’re officially invited to the second annual #FandomPubNight!

“What’s #FandomPubNight?” Fans of #TheMindyProject from around the world will be gathering on Twitter to drink, make merry, and do the Twitter walk of shame the next morning (where they go through their feed and are filled with nothing but regret and embarrassment). There will be a drinking game and everything!

“When is Fandom Pub Night?” July 25th, 2015 at 4:30 pm PST/7:30 pm EST (although feel free to start drinking at whatever time).

“But isn’t every night Fandom Pub Night?” Technically, yes. But that’s only because this fandom is filled with horned up alcoholic nerds. This should probably be an AA session as opposed to an event that encourages us to drink. Eh. YOLO (is that cool to say?).  

“But what is the drinking game? What time is it at?” clrmyr​ is a bright cookie who suggested we watch Christmas episodes because Saturday is Christmas in July! So I designed a game with the intention of giving everyone alcohol poisoning. We’ll begin the episode at 8:30 pm EST/5:30 pm PST. Shots off will commence around 10:00 pm EST/7:00 pm PST.

Please remember to know your limit and drink within it! Be safe. Don’t drink and drive, etca etca. You need to be alive to see Mindy and Danny become parents.
