How it started... How it's going

Writing culture is… starting a fun oneshot fanfic story to get it outa your head, but ending up still hyperfixated years later, writing the now 80k+ Novel, filler Series, and planned Prequel story as it refuses to leave your mind because you and your characters are stubborn and af.

to write is to accept that you probably definitely do not control the characters you put up on the page. in fact, its the other way around. THEY control YOU.

When you've been a writer for long enough, commas become more of a spiritual practice than a grammatical one.

Could I explain the actual rules of how they’re used? Absolutely not.

Do I rely on sensing a tremor in the force to tell me where to use them? Yes and this has never failed me even once.

And then you just got to rinse and repeat, hoping to hit that nirvana again
