Lift me high.

To the sky.

I'm your saving grace,

But you're also mine.

Believe in me,

Because us together,

You can surely know;

I am your everything

And you are mine...

I believe our love,

Can stand the test of time.

I can't keep my mouth shut.

I can't be quiet.

Word after word,

Thought after thought.

It's just degrading bullshit about myself.

I know how to love people,

All too well...

But myself?

That's a challenge I have to conquer."

My pain is not beauty.

My pain is 3 shots before work

And 2 during.

My pain is aching

To tear open my flesh

And watch my skin gape.

My pain is skin and bones and starving and organs purging and... and...

Life doesn't stop for anyone.

Nor does it slow or quicken its pace.

It's steady.

It's consistent.

I will cherish you with every rising and setting

Of the sun

And grow with you

Through the ever changing phases

Of the moon

For the rest of the days

Of my life.

The aching never ceases

Because even after all this time,

Looking at you absolutely kills me.

I still love you.

I missed being kissed

By someone who truly loves me.

I had it.

I had true love.

A love that was true

A love that was strong

And I threw it away.

The sky is beautiful...

That's why I took a walk just to see it.

The way that the pinks and the golds

Blaze through the sky

As if they only exist ,

Just for me

To feel something.

All too quickly

The feelings of endless beauty

And hope fade away

Along with the lovely colors

Of paint across the sky.

I feel dark.

I search for clouds and colors

That have disappeared

Before my very eyes.

I realize nothing exists in the place

I was just looking for it.

I look elsewhere.

Just for a second.

I see a half moon,

Just above a cloud

That looks exactly like a rooster

(Weird, I know).

But my birthday is in a week

And I'm born under the sign of the rooster.

I take it as a message...

Of what? I'm not sure.

Maybe it's a message of better things to Come,

Even when darkness takes over.

I want to say to my rapist:

"Fuck you."

I want to say to my rapist,

"You are the reason I'm crying

For the first time, in a very long time.

I want to say to my rapist:

The thoughts of what you've done,

Still keep me up at night

Still ruins my happiness

Still makes me cry

Ruins my relationships

Makes me hate myself.

But you are selfish.

And you don't know.

I hurt every day;

Yet, your relentlessness pressures me.

Physically, mentally, and emotionally.

You are still there.

You cared about me

Or so you said

You said you cared

You said that you would take care of me

You said you loved me...

But it wasn't so.

It was a trick,

It was a lie...

You said what you said

And did what you did

Just to get by.

You took advantage of me

You hurt me for months;

And years afterwards.

Now I'm broken,

But I'm still healing

Day by day.

I learn what real love is

By the one person

That is constantly by my side.

My one true love gets me through

The pain and suffering of the past.

You will get me through the now...

And you will get me through

The rest of my life.

I'm held together by mere stitches that itch and pull and tig and threaten to come apart. I feel my flesh numb with them, and I ache to feel them tear. I want to bleed, I want to experience the release. I want to breathe through my open arteries. I want to be free, but alas, I am but a slave. A slave to the sight, the smell, the touch of my insides. It makes me feel alive. And for someone who is so dead inside, feeling only breeds in my skin when I free it. Toying with death is what gives me life.

I did something today I thought I'd never do. I opened up. I let someone close to me in. I had finally had enough. I finally reached the point where the fear of opening up wasnt a strong as the fear of living another day with all this pent up pain. Granted, I didn't say much, but it definitely was something. I do need help. I know that. I've been fighting alone for too long. Will I be able to continue to open up more and more? I am not sure. I have no idea what I'm going to do. But as long as I'm taking steps forward, it doesn't really matter I guess.

The person that I love,

Is separated from me

By shame.

I feel as though

I cannot get any closer;

I can only drift

Farther

And farther

Away

From him.

My heart breaks itself

Over and over again.

It's not his fault,

But it isn't mine either.

A being holds him away from me,

With its constant reminder

That I am a living,

Breathing,

Walking

Mistake.

That's what keeps me away.

You would think love would be stronger;

That it would be enough to keep two people

Together.

But my mother keeps my father away

From me,

In more ways than I'm able to write

And accumulate into words.
