in-ho is, in a lot of ways, the version of gi-hun the games want to create. he won, lost hope, and became part of the machine. gi-hun wins and refuses to let the machine fully take him. in-ho spends seasons 2 and 3 trying to force gi-hun to admit that everyone breaks eventually, but gi-hun keeps refusing to become him. gi-hun’s final choice affects in-ho enough that he personally goes to gi-hun’s daughter afterward. he doesn’t have to do that. he does it because gi-hun mattered.
