I'm not sure how Tumblr works, but I wanted to give it a try

I'm Amna, a 19 year old writer. I have published my work online, and it got a bit of attention. I don't really know how to promote books, and bookstagram isn't really working for me.

So here I am trying to find people like me on Tumblr

So I have a bookstagram where I talk about the books I have published on wattpad. I started it in college when I first started writing. I used to spent a lot of time on that page, just trying to promote my book.

Then university cam and I got busy, so that page kinda just died. But I wanted to revive it again and I don't really know how to do it.

So for the aost 2-3 years I have been working on my debut novel. And I was in a writers block since a few months.

But last night I wrote something that made me forget every worry. And I am immensely proud of it. It might not be much.

Still, I wanted to share it.

As someone whose mother is a master in crochet, the interest came to me naturally , it might even be somewhere in my genes.

I started my journey in crocheting by making a crochet bow, one of the most easiest things. Two pieces of rectangles joint together to form a bow. The learning process made me want to quit every other second. Stabilizing the chain stitch, then to learning double stitch, took me a while.

A few months ago, this was just an idea between my mother and me.

Today, it's becoming something real.

At 19, building a crochet brand alongside my mother has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. From crocheted accessories and bags to wearable pieces and custom orders, every item is handmade with care, creativity, and a lot of patience.

We've recently started exhibiting our work, meeting customers face-to-face, and sharing pieces we've spent hours creating stitch by stitch.

This is only the beginning, but I'm grateful for every person who supports handmade businesses and the stories woven into them. 🧶🤍

Hi, so I made a magazine about my perspective on romance in our desi culture.

It was just a random idea that popped up in my head. It basically covers overall literature's importance in our south Asian desi culture.

Writing is something that we start when we can't seem to adjust in the real world, when we want to get lost in between those lines of stories. These words held ua together when nothing else could.

Who doesn't love a good romance novel.

While I'm all here for the dark romance books, I think if I had to choose between soft and dark romance. I would choose soft romance. It's just a teeny tiny bit better than a dark romance. I do love the thrill and impulsive love that is portrayed in dark romance but the whole idea of holding hands for the first time, the subtle eye contacts, sweet gestures, and the flow of love. Her being lost in her own and he's lost in her. The way that a dimple smile is described , oh, it really amazes me. And while it is everyone's preference, if i had to lead someone to start reading, I would start them from a good soft romance or even better rom-com book

I think we have ruined desi wattpad.

Here me out before you go on judging me.

I love wattpad and appreciate all of the writers on the platform. I hope all of you succeed and may your Books be globalized and recognized.

But what I don't appreciate is that we have toxicated the environment of desi wattpad. Back in 2020 when many writers and readers joined our community for enjoyment and to find a motive. I myself started writing by being inspired by these writers. So from just reading on wattpad I started writing my first book.

Back at that time, Desi wattpad was filled with soft core romance and humor, books that actually gave you giggles and made you blush. The books that unwantedly we all love and the storyline we live for. But today, desi wattpad culture is ruined. By justifying toxic behavior by romanticizing the worst scenarios. Most writers justify different toxic muscularity and abuse as normal behavior. Romanticizing Rape and harassment is a big NO! Harassment is not romantic despite whatever gender does it or whoever does it. Writing about getting harassed is the reality that happens with many people, but romanticizing that harassment is NOT!
