Just airing out thoughts…

For a blog dedicated to the first fandom I officially joined it sure is messy…and dusty af from disuse. While I have joined plenty of batim centered discord servers and talk with many wonderful people in the fandom I’ve always felt like I’ve never properly shared the passion I’ve had for it. I want to post more! I want to interact with others on here more! I’ve drawn and developed things so much that hasn’t been posted! But I always tend to get side tracked for one reason or another.

Looking back on this blog is a bit- idk- unpleasant? Nothing to do with the many wonderful posts from others I’ve reblogged, but the posts I’ve made scattered between them. I certainly have mixed emotions when seeing my old work and the horrible changes I’ve made to my fics through my many rewrites on ao3 (empty chapters? Are you kidding me?). It just gives me a nagging itch that I should be doing something about it, like a chore you put off for so long that takes only 5 minutes to do and all of the mental dread built up feels redundant and emotionally draining.

I’m afraid that touching it will destroy many important things to me, overlooking old tags from others that had contributed to the passion I have now, the many comments left on my old fics. I can’t help but get sappy over it but I don’t want to just leave it there to be forgotten or half finished.

I’ll likely be posting one or two things I’ve made over the time I haven’t been on here and some recent stuff soon. But frankly who knows at this point

Y'all an absolutely surreal thing has happened... so, youtube's lil logo animation today is celebrating the Tabletop Gaming Community on youtube, which links to a spotlight video with quick clips from a lot of different tabletop-related videos........... and I DO have an animatic of a Particular Call of Cthulhu campaign's adventures on youtube.... so for like, 2 seconds in this OFFICIAL VIDEO ON THE OFFICIAL YOUTUBE CHANNEL:

When they spoke to me about using a clip for this, I told them that there were fan elements in our game and pointed out which bits were Bendy Designs, so alas the Masked Messenger was unable to appear in this tiny clip due to his wandering sin mask being so prominent..... but since Cthulhu Joey is 100% Boo's design, CTHULHU JOEY IS NOW IN AN OFFICIAL YOUTUBE VIDEO?????????? I GOT PAID FOR 2 SECONDS OF THIS SELF-INDULGENT ANIMATIC?????????? LMAO I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF ABOUT THIS

BEHOLD. JACK DESIGNS APLENTY TO MATCH WITH THESE SAMMY DESIGNS. I had so much fun designing and drawing these guys, as I wanted to make Jacks that specifically complimented their Sammys. LONG WINDED DESIGN NOTES UNDER THE CUT

Pair 1:

i knew that i wanted to make at least one absurdly tall Jack and he was a perfect candidate

matching music tie and bowtie!!!

i love height difference sam and jacks and jack deserves to be the taller one sometimes

this Jack is probably Dominican. gotta get that latino rep in here lets gooo 💪😎 (lighthearted)

their shirts are the same shade of white which you'll see again in the third pair

iirc i wanted to give tribute to TIOL so I made this Jack orange, though I kept it leaning yellow to better compliment Sammy's blond tips

i think this Jack is the prettiest

Pair 2:

i originally wasn't planning on giving Jack dyed hair but I thought it would be cute for both of them to have it dyed since this Sammy has bleached hair like his VA. I tried to keep it subtle since he already had so much color on him that I didn't want it to look overcrowded

I love red/pink Jacks but instead of a sweater vest I gave him a normal vest since I feel like I don't see that a lot on Jacks?

i tried to lean into more mischievous vibes with him because I think more Jacks deserve to be pranksters, as a treat

he also looks chill to counterbalance a pretty high strung looking Sammy

this Jack is very very loosely inspired by someone I know irl. not really appearance wise, just through vibes

i don't think these two are dating but they are inseparable as per usual

Pair 3:

the glasses on Jack were a last minute addition because i KEEP ON FORGETTING TO GIVE CHARACTERS GLASSES

the green sweater and hat match his Sammy's green eyes (not pictured here). i like to think he does this on purpose

they both have gray hair because i think its so pretty

i think this Jack is probably the cutest

this pair is comprised primarily of soft shapes

Jack's hair is actually inspired by someone i used to know!

Misc. Notes:

i need to give more characters glasses

i forgot facial hair existed oops

i didn't set out on designing them with the intention of making the first pair both Black and the second pair both Asian, but I do think it adds something to how they operate as a pair. you gotta stick together, y'know?

in the initial sketching process i wasn't planning on drawing Sammy along with the Jacks but i realized very quickly i couldnt design them without their Sam there. they are a set! do not separate!!

this does mean that there's a scrapped Jack design sitting in that file...alone....Sammyless.... very sad. I gotta get that man a Sammy

With my resurrection from the dead enjoy this new updated design of my au Henry. The au name is still the same complicated name that has nothing to do with what actually happens in it lol.

Lots of changes and tweaks have been going on for the “Joeys Consequences finally bite him in the ass” Au and I’ll be wiping some stuff on Ao3 accordingly for it since it’s just a big mess over there-

Hello people who decided to follow me for some reason. I haven’t posted anything in maybe a whole ass year? A lot has happened. I’m in college, I do things I enjoy now like animation and script writing (among many other things I’ve been dabbling in), and I’ve been getting into other fandoms.

I still enjoy batim and now Batdr, I still draw art of it once in a blue moon, and if people wanna chat with me or dm here I’m cool with that.
