I agree so much with your opinion, i mean it's fine to headcanon a character as dark skinned or white skinned or anything but I think that if the show is implying that the character has either white or dark skin it isn't really a good thing to change the characters skin color, or I don't know, I just agree so much with you and I'm sorry if you've been getting hate for sharing your opinion. Just here to tell you that you're awesome and your opinion is valid and also has a valid point. <3

pearl is literally white skinned yes but that doesnt make her ethnicity analogous to being white, especially because she has an asian voice actress and her current costume has some elements of japanese traditional dress, the reason a lot of people headcanon pearl as indian is bc the placement of her gem is similar to a bindi which is traditional to (indian) hindu culture

TOTALLY OFF TOPIC

GUYS ! I’m pretty sure I’m going to get a LOT of hate because of posting this, but, two points:

-nentindo is a total jerk

-I love the artist who made these human versions of Garnet, Amethyst an Pearl, but drawing a character who is obviously white and turn it into a version of it with dark skin is wrong.

It’s totally alright if you draw Garnet as a black person or amethyst as a latina, because their skin colors are dark. It’s totally fine. But Pearl is LITERALLY white af.

You can’t say that I’m a racist or nothing, because actually I’m a person who haves dark skin and I’m from south america. My racial features are very similar to this headcanons but I still think that making every character so similar about their skin tone is wrong and almost offensive
