Hey y'all, finished my quilt based on the spiral and that one leech jar that was floating around for a while?
Took a few weeks of sewing and beading, but I just finished it up!

Also I had to add a little to the back
Stopped by the local quilt expo this weekend - so many beautiful quilts! I may have picked up some fabric while I was there and I may have immediately got home and started cutting into it. Lots of hourglass blocks and sashiko-inspired quilting - I’m excited to see how it all works up!
When the photographer is coming tomorrow, that means everything on the design wall needs to be finished! A couple are ready to go, the two bigger ones are quilted but not faced, and three of the smaller ones still need to be quilted—it’s going to be a busy Monday! https://www.instagram.com/p/B1oUlIfHL6D/?igshid=clh98by8e41h
sometimes the best place to be is right where you stand.
I was given two totes full of quilting supplies, one from my great-grandmother and one from my great-great-grandmother. I was able to know them as a child before they passed, but having their work in my hands as an adult is a surreal experience. These are my great-grandmother's pieces that are closest to done, in order of finishedness, all quilt tops.
I'll be working on getting the pink blocks pieced by hand together today
