Pre-Life Planning Hypnotherapy

Met up with my hypnotherapist once again but this time to do a pre-life planning session!

I kind of did this during my soul family session last year, but since external physical pain prevented me from really connecting, I thought I'd try this.

We worked back from my current age and stopped in my 20s, I think like 10 yrs old, 5 years old. and at 10 months. In my 20s, I remembered my old room very easily. 10 years old, I was in the school library. 5 years old, I was in my old kindergarten classroom. At 10 months, I saw myself in my maternal grandma's house (it never changed OMG) with my parents and grandma.

Then the interesting part happened when I walked through my birth. As we counted down from 9 months, 8 months, etc., I was getting more and more agitated, anxious, my breathing was quickening, and I was starting to cry. Fun fact, I was 10 weeks premature and was really messed up, the doctors thought I was going to die soon after my delivery. And I saw myself after the delivery, my skin was blue-tinted since my lungs were underdeveloped, and I felt in my body how uncomfortable it was to show up so early. So, cool, got to relive the trauma of being born way early.

Apparently, I had no strong feelings one way or the other about incarnating into my current person. As for being a female in this life, it was very familiar, I kept choosing to be female in a lot of lives before. When "moving" into my life, I settled in pretty easily, but I was dormant for most of the time when I was in utero.

As for being born early, there really was no massive revelation, it just confirmed what I was told before by my mom, when she was pregnant, she hit herself (and me) against the edge of a table when standing up, and that triggered labor. During the session, I felt something stabbing in the middle of my back, so I'm assuming that was my position (upside down, back facing out) when my mom bumped the table edge.

Apparently, I didn't like being in the womb, it was super restrictive and tight especially as I got bigger. That's when I felt this squeezing feeling around my arms and shoulders, it was very uncomfortable.

Then we moved to before I incarnated into my fetus body, like I guess an astral place for lack of a better word.

I got to meet up with my spirit team where the planning process took place. At first, I couldn't really tell any defining features of them, and they were all sitting at this half moon conference table in this huge room (felt like we were in a temple complex) and looking at this unrolled scroll or paper. It wasn't scary, but it was like a career counseling session high school students do. It felt like there were 5 people sitting at the table.

One of the people at the table was Loki, he was being super casual at the table, leaning back so that his chair was balanced on the back two legs. The point he contributed to the planning process was to encourage me to be comfortable with myself, relax, find what makes me happy, and try not to take everything too seriously.

Another of the people at the conference table was my maternal 2x great grandmother (the same one who's showed up in previous sessions). She sat in the middle of the table where the lead person would be, so she very clearly has a huge influence. She asked me if I was sure about something (I'm thinking it was about agreeing to the specific of this life), and that she was being nice and trying to lessen the blow about whatever shit life experiences I would go through if I agreed. It felt like I was calm about the whole thing and that I felt like I knew what I was agreeing to.

My usual pain in my left shoulder/back flared up AGAIN. When asked why I keep getting his recurring pain, I saw a heart that looked like those ones you see at Valentine's Day, and it was missing half of it. It didn't look like it had been torn in half, the edge was pretty smooth, like someone was drawing a heart but didn't finish drawing the other half. I kept getting the phrase "something is missing" over and over, and I got the feeling that I was missing a part of myself.

I then got the image of being out in a field, that was made up either of tall grass or wheat. It felt like a clearing with trees surrounding it, it might have been springtime. It felt like it was an earlier time period, so not the 2020s, but way in the historical past that I lived in or experienced, and whatever happened in that time period had a big influence in my life now. I was still me but in a different body, sitting in the field. I had blonde hair (I said "I have blonde hair again") and I was young, about young adult age. I was wearing a long sleeved blouse or shirt with an overdress on top of it and a cotton head covering. I looked over to see someone walking toward me and I was smiling at them. Turned out it was a man (ofc omg), he was tall, wearing a white linen or cotton shirt and trousers and he was smiling back at me. I got the immediate feeling that I knew him and that we had agreed to meet in that field beforehand. He sat down next to me and we just enjoyed talking with each other, and I felt so relaxed. It felt either it was the start of a relationship or it had progressed long enough where you get over the exciting phase and into the comfortable phase. What this had to do with my half heart image was confusing bc I didn't know if I had agreed to a separation that was related to this scene. The point of the separation was to show that I don't need to be so involved in a relationship??? I later realized I was seeing my past life from 1850s New England as that girl who lost her lover early on.

I then saw myself in a smaller room in the temple-like space with my 2x great grandma, and we were sitting at a patio set for 2. The room was a bit like half open air looking out on to a pretty garden. I immediately felt really sad and she looked like she was sorry about whatever it was that made me sad. It felt like I was not going to experience a relationship in this life, and it was out of protection (there's a history of the women in my mom's family being cheated on or abandoned).

There was a road or maybe a river or stream that was ahead of me, it wasn't scary or violent, just calming. It felt like it was in a desert or barren place, but I didn't know where it went even though I had to follow it. I felt curious about where it went, and it felt like there was a destination to it even though I didn't know what that was.

Jump back to sitting with my 2x great grandma, and she showed me her tarot cards fanned out on the table that she had been using. Her purpose in being my guide is to help develop my abilities. My family has always had abilities, but they either ignored them or they skipped over some people (I wouldn't be surprised if Catholicism had something to do with that).

In terms of a theme I came into this life to learn, I kept seeing the 3 of Swords, so basically heartbreak and sorrow (ofc). It felt like I need to heal the pain that either I have experienced or the women in my family have experienced. I chose my current family maybe because I am supposed to heal them as well as to fulfill something my ancestors were unable to do, it pointed to transformation of the family (they kept showing me a butterfly). It felt like I was doing alright in that aspect, like this feeling of reassurance, even though I still have a lot of work to do.

My left shoulder pain flared up again and this time I got a very strong clear image of the first past life I had experienced with this hypnotherapist, the young woman from 1850s New England who lost her lover. I saw both her AND him but I couldn't tell if it was because I still didn't want to let go of that pain from her loss OR if there was a possibility they'd be reunited in this life (with her as me and him as whoever it would be). A thought came saying perhaps I need to heal myself some more. They showed me like those puzzle piece things like the game Operation where the game's parts go into their respective slots, only I had one and the man had one, and they were shaped like the yin/yang pieces. We both put our yin/yang pieces into the puzzle holes to make it complete and the guy was still smiling at me, very reassuring. I took it as either I need to heal so that I could handle being alone IF I had agreed to a separation OR I need to do some more healing before reuniting with this man.

When it came to choosing my birth date, the reason was really stupid. I was sitting with Loki and he had the 3 pages of a calendar on the table for October, November, and December. I was supposed to be born in December but I kept seeing autumn and pumpkins and the strong feeling that I chose October because I love autumn. This might have to do again with the influence from that one 1850s past life when that version of me also loved autumn. It felt like Loki had a hand in supporting my choice in going from almost being a Capricorn to being a Libra instead, I heard him saying "You made a really good choice". And it's interesting since Loki would be associated more with Capricorn season rather than Libra season.

I jumped to the moment just before I incarnated, and I was standing at the top of a super high Olympic style diving board with the prettiest blue pool at the bottom. I was still in that temple setting and I was dressed in like a white flowy dress that was sort of like an ancient Greek or Roman dress. People were standing behind me acting like a farewell committee. My higher self showed up, and was like mostly made up of light or like an opal and presented as a woman; she gave me a hug and told me I'd be alright. She showed me the image of a cup and a waterfall that looked like the Ace of Cups, so it felt like it had to do with healing (again) as a lesson for this life. She put a hand over my heart, giving the vibe to take care of my heart and not to cut off completely. It didn't feel scary, and I just let myself fall forward into the water, and not dive in.

It was a lot, and ofc I cried a lot, lol. But yeah, this kind of confirmed some things I suspected.

Secular Celebrations - Lughnasadh

From Midsummer, we move to Lughnasadh in early August. Also called Lammas, this is the first of the three harvest holidays. Much of what you’ll see associated with this holiday involves bread, bread, and for a change of pace, more bread and also corn. But there are also associations with field games, music, crafts, artistry, games of skill, self-expression, wishmaking, and the first fruits of the harvest. It’s another holiday for picnics and bonfires, so keep that in mind when you’re planning your festivities.

It’s probably easiest to talk about the food first, since that’s a big part of this holiday. Lots of witches bake bread of some sort for Lughnasadh, in observance of the grain harvest. This would be a great time to put that sourdough starter to use, if you made one. But don’t limit yourself to bread alone! Late summer fruits and vegetables are also coming into season and that gives you plenty of options for kitchen witchery. Check your local farmer’s market or produce stand for what’s available, or see what’s in season for your area, since this will vary from region to region.

You can make jams and preserves, try your hand at winemaking or brewing beer, make a vegetarian or fruit-based dish, or cook over an open fire, if you have the option. You should be able to harvest things from your garden as well, since it will be producing by this time, and this is another great holiday for visiting pick-your-own berry patches and orchards. If you can, share what you harvest or make with friends and neighbors. This is a time to remember your circle and your community as well. None of us stand alone, and we are stronger when we stand together and nurture those bonds.

Make decorations with wheat stalks and corn husks, and thank the fields and the sun for their bounty. Just like on Midsummer, you can hang ribbons and paper wishes from trees and shrubs if you like. I’m also partial to (very carefully) gathering brambles, rose thorns, and holly hedge cuttings for use later in the year around Lughnasadh. It’s a tricky, prickly business, but they come in very handy when you’re preparing magical protections for the home.

If you can have a small bonfire or have the opportunity to light up a cauldron or a burning bowl, you can throw incense or paper wishes into the fire. If you like, you can also throw paper packets containing your regrets into the fire, symbolically ridding them from your life and freeing you to move forward.

If the weather allows, have a field day! Play games, have a cookout or a barbecue, play music, and enjoy yourself. Celebrate the abundance that the first harvest brings into your life and all the hard work you’ve done so far in the year. Provided that your circle can gather, maybe have an informal tournament with games of skill and chance. For those of you who just went, “-gasp- Trivia contest!” you’re right on the mark. That carnival atmosphere comes into play again for Lughnasadh, so have a little fun with your near and dear.

Handicrafts and the arts are also celebrated at Lughnasadh. It’s a good time to start that new project you’ve been meaning to do, or to try your hand at a new skill.

This is also a time to begin reaping what you’ve sown and to examine your own progress since the beginning of the growing season. Meditate on how your personal projects are going. What progress have you made toward your goals? What have you learned so far this year? What promises have you kept, which ones could use more dedication, and which ones fell by the wayside?

How have your actions, for good or for ill, affected the direction of your path? What have you sown that is now coming to fruition? What is still budding? What has yet to manifest? What might require more of your attention?

Meditate also on self-expression. How well do you communicate with others? What would you like to improve? Are there boundaries that you need to clarify or reinforce? How much are you allowed or able to be your truest self? What do you long to be able to do or say or express differently?

Keep in mind that progress, education, and recovery do not happen in straight lines or have constant upward trajectories. Be patient with yourself. You may not be exactly where you thought you’d be, but you’re still further along than you were. Even a single step forward counts, and it’s okay to stop and rest if you need to.

On the inside, I was going through a slow, private rebirth I didn’t know how to name yet. That’s when I started looking into asteroid Persephone and suddenly something clicked.

Persephone (asteroid 399) carries the myth of being both maiden and queen, innocent and sovereign, surface dweller and ruler of the underworld. In astrology, she speaks to the parts of ourselves that undergo deep transformation, often in silence. Her placement can show you where you’re asked to surrender, evolve and rise again stronger, sharper and wiser.

Asteroid Icarus (1566) Through The Houses

Greek Mythology - Daedalus, Icarus's father, had told Icarus to be careful. Why? Icarus and his father were in confinement, Icarus wanted the taste of what it's like to leave, he wanted to break free. Icarus connected wax and feathers in order to make a pair of wings. Icarus wasn't worried about anything, his only goal was to leave. His father warned him "Don't fly too close to the sun!" And of course, once Icarus flew. He never listened, his wings started melting because of the wax, and Icarus fell to his own demise..

Icarus in the chart

Asteroid Icarus is our fall. He is our own self-undoing, our own detriment. Wherever this asteroid is placed is where we seem to gain hope but make mistakes. However, Icarus, flew close to the sun, he didn't listen to his father and instead his wings melted. The house Icarus is placed in is also where we wish to shine, but can end in mishaps. We also might think fluidly or cluelessly where this asteroid is placed. I see Icarus as a representation of the fool card in tarot.

Icarus conjunct AC - Possibly creates a confident personality. If this is the case then these people end up being over-confident sometimes, leading them into risky territory, some people actually see this as well since it's conjunct the ascendant. This placement is a bold and ambitious personality, they seem to shine bright amongst their peers unless other placements lessen this effect. People with with this placement can look strong, beautiful or just somehow physically attractive. They may have admirers from afar. For people who flex or like to show off, have a attention, please be careful with this placement, you may end up hurting yourself in the end or not getting the most positive reactions from some people

Icarus conjunct IC - Can bring negative traits from childhood or traits that might become problematic (EX - someone who had to distance themselves from their family in childhood but when they're a parent they might accidentally distance themeselves from their kids, no emotional support) Bringing old customs or traditions to the household may cause harm when you grow up which might not serve the family in a good way in modern day. In another way this can also make someone not want to listen to tradition and want an unconvential household when they grow up, be careful with this, you might manifest an unconventional home but not in the way you presumed it would turn out! Family might also describe a person with this aspect as a personality like Icarus when they were young

Icarus conjunct DC - Icarus traits are given to the romantic partner. They can seem determined when they have their mind set to a goal. Sometimes stubborn but probably for a good cause. This partner can like taking risks but these risks need to be handled carefully. This placement can represent actually falling into risky territory when it comes to looking for a partner and starting a relationship. You may (unless other aspects totally crumble this effect) be the person that is "sure" that your partner is truly perfect, whereas others can easily tell there may be something off with them. Maybe they take advantage of you and you just brush the minor things off. Icarus can play a big part in relationships in some way and you may attract this energy in them

Icarus conjunct MC - If you gain a high reputation, dont cause destruction in this or act impulsively, it will really take a bite out of you. People might create and get you into scandals in career! Keep an eye out for them and shoot them with your bow and arrow ^ also this placement can indicate the public looking at you as someone like Icarus, a leader who can infact act without regard, someone who is strong willed and denies anything but freedom, enjoys adventure and can be charismatic

Icarus conjunct Sun - This aspect may seem bad but there is also different outlooks I see with this. Icarus obviously, since he flew too close to the sun, he, well, in the end died. This sun could totally burn the asteroid and its effects. But another way of seeing this is Icarus making bigger or harsher outcomes. Icarus would be brightened, thus making it seen more. I actually personally lean more towards my first assumption, based off of greek mythology

Icarus conjunct Moon - A theory, I think this would lessen the detriment Icarus causes on himself. The moon is not hot it can't burn, instead the mother nature of emotional moon is patient and reminds Icarus to be careful. The moon is a home, it is safe, and as a shelter or mother, it protects. This placement can be considered a blessing and can protect the person from self undoing. However in a more negative light, the moon is, after all, emotions, Icarus ignored his father. Someone with this aspect can act impulsively or act based off of emotions more often than logic, stay aware of this

1st House // Aries

Having characteristics of being strong headed. Icarus got close to the sun and in the Aries original house of mars, this can create a really passionate personality that everyone can see!! You don't really go with the tides or trends at times and don't care what others think as well, you seem to be totally fine and sure of what you want and will do! This placement can appear like Leo or the asteroid Apollo in a way. You may gain attention however sometimes it may mot be good attention, people might become envious, jealous, see you as too "powerful" or just randomly seek the worst for you

2nd House // Taurus

An indication if stubborness (Taurus). This placement can indicate an area that you want total control of. You could be the person who wants money and flourishes when you have it. People with this placement can also be the ones who spend money more often than others! Sometimes this aspect can create money driven people who will work the hardest out of a bunch of people to attain it, this is because they want the freedom to not worry about how much they spend or what they spend some on. I've theorized, more uncommonly, with this placement this can make a person flex their money to boost their ego (sun), a person with not as much money might subconsciously want to be able to show off power because they feel confined and limited. Depending on the money making spectrum, this can go two ways also! If you are a person who makes or has a stable income then you could make purchases without thought every once and awhile, the detriment here is overspending, be careful. People who have a lower income or budget, may overwork, please take care of yourself when you find time, your health is the most important. Also this placement can make fire possible. If you cook please remember to turn off your equipment, stove, etc. If you do gardening, flowers/plants have a possibility of getting to dry/too much sun. Please water them well ^-^

Words can cut deeper than we think.
