“People say I love you all the time - when they say, ‘take an umbrella, it’s raining,’ or ‘hurry back,’ or even ‘watch out, you’ll break your neck.’ There are hundreds of ways of wording it - you just have to listen for it, my dear.”

Never delay kissing a pretty girl or opening a bottle of whiskey.
Ernest Hemingway
“She didn’t need to be saved. She needed to be found and appreciated for exactly who she was.”

Lately, I find myself missing her. I miss her laugh, her sass, her opinions, her unconditional love. I wish she could see this house and my life and laugh out loud at these pictures above my piano. I wish she could sit with my daughter and try to teach her notes like she did with me. I wish she knew my children and that I married him; the boy she used to support in his school fundraisers and wave to as he went by on his paper route. I imagine she would be proud but I also imagine she would listen so carefully to the girl she used to know and she would find me deep within and draw me out; make me laugh, take me to get my "hairs did," and buy me a milkshake. Somehow if I could have her here feels like it would make these days hurt less. Her laugh could light the world and fill your soul. . . . And I really need that. I miss you G.
my new belief is that love should make you feel both held and free
This such a truth I've only just learned.
Someone waiting to do something bc they want to experience it w you is a glowing kind of love
“For it was finally Spring, her favorite time of year. It was the season where beautiful flowers and fields of green grasses blew gently in the wind. Where she spent lazy afternoons by the lake under blue skies with the love of her life. Her spirit reborn again. It was Spring.”

I'm back and oh how I need it. After nearly leaving this life in EVERY way in 2020, I spent 21 trying not to die, coming back to life, breaking, healing, recovering, rediscovering, and finally LIVING AGAIN. And now I'm back: spraying my tumbler wall with all the thoughts and beautiful things pushed together on a screen that in some way make me happy, make me feel, make me me again. If you're out there and you care, I'm back from the dead!
