     “B-But I don’t understand, Sayaka-chan. Is it so bad to be friends with the new transfer student?”

     The petite female murmured at the last end of her phrase, all without the need to emphasize her inquiry. Scarlet hues were glued onto the desk before shifting its sight to a pair of another, clusters of light reflecting through irises. A concerned look was gathered and ears drummed at the chatters of students in various cliques of the classroom. She pretended not to hear but await the voice of her best friend.

░ ▏  ♥   ▏ ░ - Even though she wanted to provide the shorter girl with affection, she could tell that her mere presence flustered Madoka quite a bit, so she kept her distance when the other girl’s head dropped. Or at least—she did for a few seconds—before reaching up and gently moving the girls pink bangs from her eyes.

                            “ You’re the top of my concerns, actually. I truly wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t know you were safe.”   The demon smiled, letting her hand drop at her side once again.

                                        “ I have missed you quite a bit.”

                   That was an understatement, but she wasn’t going to let Madoka know that.

     "I feel the same way. Please don’t worry too much though — I’d rather have you depend on me," the rosette flinched from the raven-head’s touch, able to feel every gentle caress of her own pink strands by the latter’s fingertips. Within that second, she nearly had the sensation that a moderate breeze tickled her skin as well. She was captivated by the taller female’s beam, almost as if the entire setting was set to a white background within exception of the one before her. Her cheeks glowed with the same color as her bloodshot orbs and her vision reflected amethyst pair of hues. She couldn’t help herself but to return an exhilarated facial expression. 

     “I missed you too, Homura-chan.”

                            “ It’s not a major concern, just an inconvenience at most. I’ve been handling it rather well.”

     “I.. I can’t help myself getting worried about you, you know. And if you have things in your mind, please don’t hesitate to tell me. The least you should be concerned about is me,” the modest female announced in a clear voice until the end of her phrase was barely audible. Out of her habit, she mumbled underneath her soft-spoken tone before feeling her own lips tremble from perceived steps of the taller one. She flushed by experiencing warmth that raised upon her cheeks, unable to gaze forward and plastered her vision over her feet.
