Thank you Seb!
I have been putting off writing this post as it was never something I thought I would have to do or ever wanted to do. It is however something that needed to be done sooner rather than later.Â
I was informed by Seb today that he has decided to step down from Allies Index in order to focus on his Health. It was no secret that Seb is dealing with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Severe Anxiety. For those of you not familiar with this I would do no justice in trying to explain it here.
In short for the foreseeable future Seb will no longer be with us at Allies Index.Â
Now I will be using the next few days to take stock of where we are at with Allies Index and will reach out to the others in regards of where we want to go from here.Â
I apologies for the rambling in this post but in all honesty I am pretty shaken with this news as Seb has become one of my best friends over the last few years we have been doing this and have never imagined doing this without him. Not just Allies Index but hobby in general.Â
Now I really don’t want this post to be to much of a downer and instead I want to take the time to thank Seb for his work over the last few years, helping to create content and grow Allies Index.Â
Seb has been instrumental in the growth of Allies Index. From creating new content, helping others, even just sharing every post we made. Without him we would not be where we are today.Â
It has been an amazing ride full of moments that defined Allies Index as we shared our geeky gaming experience with the world. Great times have been had by all…mostly at the expense of each other.Â
We wish you all the best Seb in whatever life has for you next. We couldn’t have done this without you!
Thank you.

Over Toxic (the points slut) bullshit in Rocket League
Kill Team: Tau vs Harlequins
Step and myself were matched up he is playing Harlequins and myself Tau. The mission and map was random we ended up playing Escalating Skirmish on the Underhive Warehouse map.Â
50% of each force was held in reserve and could outflank winner was who killed the most points worth of enemy models. Greater than 50 points difference between the two sides or it would be a draw.Â
I deployed half of my pathfinder with my Team Leader on top a building while the Harlequin force took cover from the Tau guns.
The Harlequin Troupe Leader quickly darted behind the building the Tau were deploying on. Ready to fly up onto the roof with his jetbike and shoot them next turn.Â
Lucky enough for the Tau the Crisis suits came in turn two and crippled the Harlequin with flamers and Plasma fire. He would surive the initial strike only to be stunned during overwatch and finished off the following turn.
It seemed as if the tau would keep the building locked down winning the game however With a risking move outflanked the remaining reserves right behind the harlequins failing to do any real damage before they were both taken out.Â
The game ended in a stalemate as the Tau had killed more points however only about 39 points more not enough to win the game. The Harlequins choosing to end in a draw rather than risk it all this early in the campaign.Â

Not as good a write up as Seb can do but I really only wanted to post highlights. The game was awesome and a lot more exciting than the low body count would show.Â

Gangs of Port Dragonmaw
I apologize in advance for biting off more than I can chew when it comes to projects…I am way behind in the $15 Warhammer challenge…however I am at it again making another project for myself.Â
We started up a Heralds of Ruin Kill Team Campaign with the guy from Quicktime Blues. Its set in the same area as our 40k RPG that we having going on (yeah another thing I should talk about at some point). Port Dragonmaw, located in a unruly area of the Imperium. Locked off from the rest of the Imperium by warp storms anything foes in Port Dragonmaw as long as someone is getting paid. Hence the variety of gang/crews.
We have yet to play any games yet but the plan is to do a few write ups.Â
Thought I would share my Leader. Kor'O SaeÂ
30k is awesome but it has been fun playing some 40k again.

Battle Bros: 30k Campaign Blood In the Void: Mission Three
Blood In The Void: Mission One
Blood In the Void: Mission TwoÂ
The final mission of the Blood In The Void arc of out 30k Campaign saw a combined force of Toxic’s Night Lords and Savage’s Iron Warriors against my Raven Guard.
The mission for the combined attacking force was to make another attempt at freeing the Reaver from his cell and to cross the board to get to the escape pods, while the defending Raven Guard are trying to stop this at all costs. Due to the damage to the engines caused by the Night Lords in mission two, the Catastrophic Damage table is active.Â
Death was in the air; the sweet, metallic taste of rich Astartes blood mixing with the cloying, acrid smoke that would be the ship’s last breaths. It made for a morbid, choking cassolette.Â
The sirens screamed louder than before, brilliant red strobes joining the tumult of klaxons and lights, as the Percute Umbra rang its own carrion call. Tenebris Dameron, his glorious black Cataphractii armour now a ruin of maddening fractures, stood proud and defiant. Around him the reserves of Retrosum’s Terminators held ready to avenge their fallen sergeant. ‘You’ve heard all the rousing speeches before, but this is not a fight for glory.’, The Praetor’s rasping voice drole across the vox. 'There is no honour in fratricide. There is no justice. There is no reason for this descent into the maelstrom of madness…’ His melancholy reverie upon the events of the last few hours threatened to overwhelm him. 'We are loyal sons of Corax and the Emperor of Mankind, beloved by all, and we know cruelty and injustice more than most.’ Grim resolve galvanised his words, as his gorge rose. 'Tyranny will not stand, while the XIX legion draw breath!’ 'Our brothers hold our Corvia, so we shall one day return to Deliverance!’ 'Victory aut mortis!’, the Cataphractii barked in unison. 'Today we do both gladly for the Imperium’
Dravex looked out on his cohort of Night Lords and Iron Warriors, brothers united against treachory. 'We free the Reaver and get off this rue morgue. Kill any traitor you see, just remember we have little time.’ 'For the Warmaster!’ the bellicose shouts of the Iron Warriors Terminators drowned out all other warcrys as they charged the blast doors.Â
With a screech the adamantium plates parted in ragged rents, allowing the lambent support squad to let fly with plasma at the shadowy figures inside. Super heated energy washed over Dameron, eating into his cracked shell and searing the flesh beneath, but he held strong. Three plasma guns erupted in the hands of their wielders, discharging their lethal payloads all over them. The sizzling and screams of dying Astartes as plasma ate its way through armour, tissue and bone cut through the cacophony for a moment, before they fell.
The remaining allied warriors poured their fire into the irksomely eternal Praetor, fist-sized shells shattering the last vestiges of his armour and beating him to the ground with their incessance. Before the Raven Guard had a chance to react to their leader falling, dull iron and midnight blue clad Cataphractii were upon them, fists and claws flailing. Talons sparked on lighting daubed plate, piercing deep to the meat beneath in vengeant thrusts, before the Iron Warriors’ fists split helms, cracked armour and shattered bone. Raven Guard reserves marched down the corridor in double time, as an explosion in the bowels of the ship shuddered through the deck, wrenching panels and lumin strips loose. With a howling gurgle, the air in corridor was suddenly vented into the void in a sudden decompression. The veterans reacted instantaneously, mag locking their boots and securing themselves in place, while detritus billowed around them. With Herculean effort they slowly marched from the broken corridor and let fly with their bolters. Huge shells rebounded from iron Cataphractii plate, before one precision shot pierced an eye lens and blew out the back of the Iron Warrior’s head.Â
The Terminators lumbered after the Veterans, as the the remaining plasma guns set about melting through the Reaver’s cell. Super heated blue matter sizzled though adamantium. The combined weight of fire from the Iron Warriors tore through the Raven Guard veterans. Scarlet mist vented from black ceramite where the volts found their mark, felling five and forcing the defenders to fall back. The Percute Umbra shuddered in its death throes causing a ship-wide hull quake, though this did little to effect the combatants. The last of the veterans rallied and, realising they were all that was left, marked the Night Lords Captain as a priority target. Dravex stood up to the majority of the bolter fire, but one round found the rents in his armour. 'We have no time left!’, Dravex shouted. 'Kill them, before it is too late!’ The combined weight of the the Night Lords and Iron Warriors covered on the five remaining Raven Guard, bright plasma illuminating the hail of bolt shells. It washed over the defenders as a wave of death, splintering ceramite and eating into flesh. Four of the five lay broken and twisted on the deck, while the last man standing grit his teeth, holding strong.Â
With a flash Dravex took off, leaving his men, desperate to find an escape pod, before it was too late. The Percute Umbra disgorged the last of its drop pods, before its engines finally succumbed completely, flooding the ship with fire. Detonations spread through the ship as munitions and supplies erupted. The darkness of the void was blinded for a moment as the Percute Umbra erupted in gouts of plasma, lightning above the rain of drop pods falling to the planet below. It constricted and blew out, shrapnel spinning crazily into space. *** Despite only having a single veteran left, the game ended 4-3 to me, as Toxic and Savage were unable to get any of their units to my board edge. They did get first blood, slay the warlord and the boarding point for freeing the Reaver from his cell. This means that the first campaign arc, Blood In The Void, ended with three boarding points to me and two to them, which is a win for me by the narrowest of margins, so I shall be picking the games to play in the next arc.

Battle Bros: 30k Campaign
Blood In the Void: Mission Two
You can find the first story time ,mission (Savage’s Iron Warriors against my Raven Guard) and our painted armies here.
The second mission of our first campaign arc saw Toxic’s Night Lords taking on my Raven Guard, as the Night Lords attempt to destroy the engines of the Raven Guard ship.
***
By the time Praetor Dameron made it to the engine room, along with a squad of Cataphractii, viscous Astartes blood coating their lethal Raven’s Talons, the Night Lords had already broken through.
Dead legion serfs lay slumped over consoles or blown apart, trails of gore between bloody husks of meat, glistening in the strobing sirens. Glowing plasma guns joined the maddening lights, backlighting their butchers, Night Lords Terminators.
‘We deal with these treasonous welps and then we destroy the reactors’, Dravex voxed to his forward units. ‘I was held up plucking feathers, but I will be with you shortly.’
Midnight clad behemoths opened up on the Raven Guard, as they lumbered into range for their fists and claws. Reinforced jet plate stood up to the onslaught, as the Terminators closed into melee range.
Praetor Dameron grit his teeth, his ornate armour was beaten and cracked, and beneath that he could feel fissures in his black carapace. His wounds were not mortal and would certainly heal if given the opportunity, but the constant fighting and descending melancholy at the travesty of this needless slaughter were taking their toll. 'We must protect the engines. Many of us may die, but so many more will of we fail in our duty’, Dameron’s tone as dark as his mien.
Master crafted lightning claws clashed on lightning streaked plate, sending sparks flying and felling two of Night Lords. The remaining Night Lords’ power fists rained blows of actinic devastation.
The Raven Guard crumpled under the weight of blows, left a bloody ruin. Their leader twitching in a fugue state, his genehanced physique pushed to the limit to keep him from the brink of death, lost to a treasonous nightmare.
With the defenders down, the VII legion Cataphractii turned their fists on the nearest reactor, while the support squad turned their plasmas and a krak grenade against another.
Billowing smoke filled the central chamber as the reactors started to meltdown. The acrid fog and blaring alarms masking a smaller explosion, as one of the plasma gun vented super heated gas into its wielder’s face, fusing flesh and ceramite. He fell in asphyxiating convulsions.
Through the right hand hatch a Terror Squad stormed in, their gruesome totems jostling at their hips, flayed capes flapping wetly against their armour.
In their wake Raven Guard reinforcements stormed into the engine room in the form of the remnants of Serpo’s veterans and some stragglers they had picked up on the way.
The white faceplated warriors formed a gun line in silence, before joining the cacophony with their bolters cracking in rapid succession. Precision shots piercing joints and rending flesh.
Something akin to fear crept over the Terror Squad as the surviving two, dark Nocturnian blood spattering their already viscera coated armour, charged on towards a terminal. They primed grenades, which exploded futily in their hands, as bolter rounds tore through their backs.
A shrieking rent in reality erupted in the central chamber. Out the hysterical light stepped the Night Lords warlord, Dravex, lightning strobing across and over his artificer armour. 'We need to move’, Dravex snapped. 'Our backup has been slain by the traitors. We need to get to the other reactors, but the cowardly crows are still out there’. 'Pour plasma into the reactors. The Cataphractii and I will keep them busy’
Dravex charged towards the Raven Guard veteran, hurling bolts and old Nocturnian curses at the black clad Astartes with the lumbering Terminators in tow.
Scores of bolts ricocheted from his gilded armour, before one embedded in shoulder and erupted in ceramite fragments. A shock wave of pain surged through his system, but was quickly suppressed as his body flooded with neutralising chemicals.
The Terminators waded into the remaining Raven Guard, cutting a swathe with their bludgeoning fists, but they were soon surrounded by black ceramite. Wielding their blades two handed, the veterans hacked and jabbed, ducking blows that would obliterate them.
A slice to the servos in their legs left the last of the Terminators hamstrung, pitching it to the ground, where steel claws pierced it’s spine.
Dravex flew at the remaining defenders with his chainglaive screaming. Dashing blades deflected revving teeth, as the Raven Guard worked in rhythm to create openings for strikes against the warlord, but his wrought armour held true again and again.
Something had to give, and the constant clashing of blades took their toll on the Night Lords Captain. He fell to his knees, his vision swimming as he saw his support squad lighting up another reactor.
An ear piercing shriek erupted from the engine, as the ship’s machine spirit cried out in pain. The damaged reactors belched fire and smoke, before exploding. Sparks and shrapnel flew in the tumult as the engines started to meltdown. The ship was crippled.
With a crackling pop, Dravex teleported his battered frame to the nearest Night Lords squad, glimpsing dark shapes supporting a larger blur, stumbling from the flames.
'Order a ship wide evacuation’, Dameron’s voice was a pained whisper. 'I need volunteers to repel the last of the boarders and secure the Reaver. He will stand trial on Terra or die with this ship!’ He added, vehemence giving him energy.
The vox rang with the clamour of willing warriors, ready to avenge their ship and fallen comrades.
***
The game ended 5-2 to Toxic with his Night Lords managing to cripple the Raven Guard ship, which will mean that the final mission of this arc will be played with the catastrophic damage table being in play.
The next mission will be a combined force of Toxic’s Night Lords and Savage’s Iron Warriors making one last attempt to free the Reaver and escape, before the ship explodes.
I am having so much fun with this campaign and can’t wait to continue building up our forces and playing more games.
Be sure to look out for more painting updates and write ups coming soon.

Omega Marines by obsidiansignature
obsidiansignature messaged us recently with a link to his comic, Omega Marines Ascension, which absolutely blew me away, so I am very happy to be sharing their incredible art and ideas with you guys.
The Omega marines were a chapter I started way back in like 2000 when I was just getting into 40K. I’ve been in and out of the hobby but the warhammer 40K universe has always been my biggest inspiration. As well, I love drawing comics, so over the years as I got back into the hobby, I shaped the story of my chapter and one of my favorite models Orion Gallo, who this comic is about.
The Omega Marines Codex can be found here
A Warhammer 40K space marine chapter i’ve been running for close to 10 years now. Diffrent from the games workshop omega marine chapter, I created this chapter prior to there introduction in the 3rd Armageddon book, any likeness is purely coincidence, but the setting timeline and space marines are based on Gamesworkshops Warhammer 40K universe.
The Omega Marines Ascension Comic can be found here.
In the 41st millennium there is only war. The Omega Marines have discovered a dark secret that is rooted in the deepest parts of the Imperium. Their Chapter Master Orion Gallo is leading the Chapter into the furthest reaches of the halo stars, on what is possibly their last mission. On an alien world besieged on all sides by Heretics and xenos, Orion Gallo commands the might of his chapter. Success could not only save humanity, but the God Emperor himself.
There are fifteen action packed pages so far and obsidiansignature is hoping to have the comic completed by the end of the year.
I urge you guys to check out the fascinating lore for this chapter in the codex, as well as the awesome comic.
Many thanks to obsidiansignature for sharing their work with us. For more of their art check out their DeviantArt page here.

Battle Bros: 30k Campaign
Blood In The Void: Mission One For the first story time and background for the campaign check out our previous post here, as well our first 750 points painting challenges Toxic’s models & video, Savage’s models and my models.
The first mission of our campaign saw Savage’s Iron Warriors boarding my Raven Guard’s ship in an attempt to free Toxic’s Praetor, The Reaver. We were playing 750 points, but allowing for Master of the Legion, on a Zone Mortalis board with the Hunter/ Hunted mission. Veteran Sergeant Carcer tensed, cocking his head as his enhanced hearing detected the deck-shaking footsteps of what could only be an enemy Legion dreadnought coming closer. Between the heavy footfalls, the rhythmic weighty boom of large infantry, presumably Cataphractii from their methodical pace, echoed. ‘Looks like we have company. They may be of the legions, but we have our orders. We will hold this cell, with our lives if we must, Carcer relayed to his squad. 'I hope you all packed meltas. I have a feeling our beaks and blades might not quite be enough’, he added, attempting to emulate his usual sanguine humor. 'no matter what you hear, we hold here. Force them to come to us and strike as they begin cutting through the blast doors. The Praetor and his Talons will be here soon…’ Carcer’s orders were cut short by the ear-piercing scream of huge ceramite fingers tearing reinforced adamantium. *** Warsmith Hades pushed through the twisted wreckage of the blast doors to the brig. Other than the clattering of boots on the deck and the occasional crack of bolter fire echoing in the distance, the prison block was silent. 'It’s too quiet. Watch the shadows. These cowards will be hiding somewhere, but we push through to the Reaver’, he snapped across the vox. 'Keep tearing through the doors. He’ll be in the central cell’, he added to the huge walker, which span up its huge assault cannon in response. *** Tenebris Dameron led Retrosum’s Cataphractii into the detention block, charging into the back of the Iron Warriors Terminators. 'Cowardly crows’, The unfettered fury in the Warsmith’s eyes was palpable, despite his gorget masking his snarl. 'Iron within, iron without! For the Warmaster!’, he boomed. Raven’s Talons glinted in the harsh light, corcusating lightning dancing across the leghal digits as they tore through ceramite and rent flesh. Their wicked quickness overwhelming the Warsmith’s bodyguard’s lethal, but cumbersome Power Fists. Before the Iron Warriors fell in a bloody, diced heap, two mighty fists wreathed in azure energy fields shattered the helms of two Raven Guard. The sickening crack of their reinforced spines splintering under the blow audible above the clashing of steel and ceramite. 'Why are you doing this!?’, Dameron cawed in desperation, mouth agape. He looked down at the ruin of men he had served with since his before Lycaeus knew Deliverance. Vitriol burned through his sorrow, pushing him forward, through his bodyguard. His combibolter fired as he moved, mass reactive shells pinging off wrought Cataphractii plate harmlessly. Hades laughed; a thick, rasping sound that echoed loudly, and lunged into the incoming challenge. Carcer could hear the carnage down the corridor and longed to be at his Praetor’s side, but he had his orders, as well his own problems. The door, only meters from his squad’s position, rippled and buckled. The enemy dreadnought was about to break through. He flashed signals to his veterans, commanding them to keep silent and ready melta bombs. The door burst outward in a shower of sparking adamantium. The hulking Contemptor lumbered though the ragged opening, blindly firing as its sensors registered enemy combatants. A couple of Carcer’s men fell under the sheer weight of assault cannon fire, though the bulk of the squad leapt at the walker, planting no less than seven charges on its iron frame. The detonation and subsequent explosion were deafening, despite their armour’s auto dampening, and the force hurled blackened bodies across the wreckage of the corridor, now slick with thick blood and oil. The two immense Praetors traded blows, claws and talons tearing at one another. 'You will not win this day, brother!’, Dameron spat the last word, as his opponent deflected a blow that would have eviscerated him. 'But I already have, traitor’, Hades chortled mockingly. 'Even if we do not free the Reaver, Dravex and his men are the Warmaster’s own now. They will see the falsity of the self proclaimed Emperor of Mankind. See his lies for what they are!’ Dameron’s mind swam with the enormity of the insanity issuing from Hades’ lips. The moment cost him. Hades’ lightning claw split black ceramite, parting the tactical dreadnought plate as if it was leather. Scouring energy glittered in the rents as Tenebris Dameron fell to his knees. As one the remaining Raven Guard Terminators turned on the Warsmith, slashing and hacking him to the ground, before tending to their wounded leader. Carcer shifted through the debris, stabilising as many of his remaining men as he could. There were still more Iron Warriors on their way and they would need to be ready. 'Those that can, form up on me and cover the junction. We’ll be back for the rest of you.’ Hades dragged himself up, embedding his claws in the plated wall to haul himself upright. Dameron and his men were gone. Up the corridor he could see the blasted remains of an Iron Warriors contemptor, a few burnt bodies laying around it. Down the corridor he finally saw his reinforcements. Livid, he barked curses into the vox, 'we are too late to retrieve the Reaver, you lazy swine. Let’s hope our new brothers can cripple the vessel.’

Battle Bros 30k Campaign: Blood In the Void - Story Time 1
Toxic, Savage and I started a campaign with our new legions a few weeks ago to go along with our painting challenges.
Each arc will play out roughly three missions with the events of each mission effecting the following arc.
I am running my loyalist Raven Guard, Savage is running traitor Iron Warriors and Toxic is running Night Lords, allowing the campaign to determine their allegiance.
So without further ado, let’s see the scene:
Praetor Tragore sat, clad in shadows and still as stone. Darkness filled his chamber due to the viewing portals shielding, shutting out the kaleidoscopic madness of the warp during transit.
The second company captain, named The Reaver by his brothers for he and his Terror Squads’ ruthless and brutal methods, meditated upon the days battle; the fear they had spread through the populace with their raids upon their crude military and political centres had broken the world’s resolve before they were even aware they were at war.
A wry smile played out across his scarred lips as he remembered the horrified faces of the enemies of the Imperium. All those that did not venerate the Emperor of Mankind deserved to die in terror, and it was his honour to enact it.
The hulking Astartes allowed himself to slip into a restful state, clearing his mind of the blood and viscera of war.
In this state he would need only an hour or two to refresh himself, while remaining an awareness of his surroundings. But something felt different, he had felt unsettled since returning to his ship and this discomfort bled into the rejuvenative trance.
His combead crackled, breaking his reverie.
‘Captain. We have urgent communications from our brothers in the Ultima Segmentum…’
***
In midnight clad he stood, strangely bright against moving shadows that surrounded him as he stepped solemnly from his vessel.
As he walked through the assembled warriors his bolter remained maglocked to his thigh, while his chainglaive was held low. Nevertheless, he held his head as high as he could in the face of this ignominy.
Tragore ignored the ranks of black ceramite clad Astartes that glowered at him from behind their expressionless helms. He had eyes only for Praetor Tenebris Dameron, Captain of the 7th Company of the Raven Guard, shame and rage smothering all other emotions as he held out his ornate chainglaive.
'Take it’, he spat, as he allowed himself to be manhandled and taken into custody. His body letting go, while his mind bristled with unthinkable fantasies of gore-spattered adamantium teeth rending jet ceramite.
He hoped their would be some kind of justice for him on terra, but melancholy and choler warred within his chest.
Why had his gene-sire allowed himself to be taken? Had their truly been reason why those yellow bastards had caged the Night Haunter?
***
Dravex had felt this before, only a handful of times and always kept it to himself, but it seemed akin to distant memories of nightmares the man he had once been had suffered in another time back on Nostramo.
The visions stretched and twisted playing out one atop another like a scrambled pict feed, ghosts of figures clashing and swirling into shadows and flames.
Through the nightmare static coarse tableaus began to coalesce; a grotesque figure shrouded in blood and midnight shadows hungrily gnawing on human bones; a golden figure embracing the night; a twisted creature pummeling and tearing at the face of a victim it bore to the ground; a blackened world burning in the void; a bloodied bat lashing out against a golden eagle; iron death raining from the skies…
A burst of static cut through his malaise.
'Incoming communicae from Warsmith Hades of the Iron Warriors.’
***
Captain Hades, Thirteenth Son of Olympia, stood proud and defiant, a mountain of iron in full Cataphractii plate. He towered over Dravex, his lightning claws scything the air between them as he gesticulated his ire.
'The Reaver has been taken. Our so called brothers in black ambushed his vessel as it translated from the warp, cowering in shadows and taking him unaware’.
'They have turned against..’, The Night Lords Captain started, aghast.
'The Warmaster! And our great endeavour! They have taken arms against us and this perfidy must be answered!’, bellowed Hades, claws screeching against one another.
Dravex’s coal black eyes smoldered in their sockets and his pallid skin pulled taught across his skull in a rictus grimace of fury, though his words were cold as the void. 'The Sons of Corax dare treat a Praetor of the 8th Legion like a common criminal? Those that come from the stock of ingrate inmates dare to judge us!? They will pay dearly for this impertinence!’
The huge brass collar on Hades Gorget masked a sarcastic smile, which curled into smug satisfaction at the success of his rouse and the battle to come.
***
Tenebris Dameron’s mood was as dark as the armour he wore. The past thirty six hours had left him perplexed, and not a little unnerved.
A brother captain, albeit from a more base and barbaric legion, handing himself into his custody, amid rumours of the imprisonment of a Primarch, and now another legion ship, this time the Iron Warriors, hailing him. Something was off and he couldn’t shake a growing feeling of foreboding.
'I want more men guarding the brig, make it a full squad. I would not conscience conflict with our brothers of the fourth legion, but I fear we have not heard the last of the Night Lords.’ Dameron ordered across the vox.
He hated the void and longed to be on the ground, infiltrating enemy lines and tearing man and xenos beasts asunder with his talons.
'By Terra, I hope we can deal with this swiftly and regroup with the expedition fleet’, he sighed to himself.
***
Sirens blared across the Percute Umbra, Raven Guard Hunter Class Destroyer. Multiple hull breaches were detected causing the ships machine spirit to screech in defiance as alarms across every deck.
Through grainy pictfeeds huge shapes could be seen emerging through great rents in the ships armoured flesh. Lightning and chevron wreathed giants raised their weapons and charged, bellowing down corridors .
'We are under attack!’ Dameron bellowed across the vox. It was unthinkable. Astartes attacking Astartes; madness. 'They–They are Astartes, our brother legions enacting a most heinous perfidy, but do not let that stay your blades. Defend our prisoner with your lives!’ He barked to all hands, keeping his voice as steady as he was able. 'Retrosum ready your talons and meet me at the brig. Serpo keep them from the engines’, he relayed the orders in curt battle cant across secure channels, the familiarity of battle, even one as unthinkable as this, steadying his nerves.
Launching into a lumbering march, twin hearts pumping adrenaline and battle stims, he headed towards the sound of bolter fire ready to face the invaders, trying to keep the word brother from his mind.

Liar liar… by Deathshead13
The plan… REVEALED! In following one of my friends’ examples with his Tranquility pattern vets (Mantis Warriors), this guy is getting the Second Outer Galactic Expedition Force camo! Because why start with a cheap infantry mini when you can use expensive resin!  Its almost impossible to tell from this reference photo, as it’s not as straightforward as some of the other camos. Plus the pictures are rather grainy, so Im guessing on a lot of things. Im imagining it as a blocky, angled camo, with the black areas speckled with gray. Seems to make the most sense to me, and the test so far seems interesting… Really a pity Im covering up a lot of this nice white, but sacrifices must be made
Really like the camo but also love how clean the white is. Amazing.Â
@inquisitor-toxic   That, my friend, is the combination of an airbrush, tons of patience with a small wash brush, and a LOOOOT of trial and error!  Sort of breaking my heart a little that I have to cover up a lot of this with black, but…  well…  Gotta get camo on there, right? Haha.Â
I really need to try airbrushing again. I don’t think I have the patience however your work makes it really tempting to try.Â
