I haven't answered them but I still get asks about that post and I'm admittedly still not over the fact that someone directly told me to kill myself. I'm not in that bad of a place but what if I was? Is it really worth risking someone actually listening and taking their own life over a ship?!
Yes, I fully understand why some people are uncomfortable with ZaDR, but those people who ship it don't portray it as some sort of an age gap. It's always portrayed as Zim and Dib being either the same age or very close to the same age and typically with then both being legal adults. If they are somehow minors, they are always portrayed in an appropriate way unless that individual shipper chooses to make it problematic when it typically is not.
YOU are forcing it to be pedophilia because you're saying "oh, you're wrong they ARE different even if you say they're not in your own au you're still a pedophile" you are FORCING it to be that way. You're forcing it to be an uncomfortable age gap and then saying "oh but ZaDF is perfectly fine!!! It's fine for a 12 year old and a 30 year old to have a co-dependant relationship in real life as long as it's not romantic!!?" are you listening to yourselves?!?!?! That is NOT okay, that's far more similar to pedophilia than ZaDR ever could be unless someone specifically portrayed them that way.
Now, I'm not saying adults and minors can't talk at all. I think it's fine if they chat online sometimes or if a minor goes to an adult for advice, especially if they can't trust their parents due to abuse. I'm also not saying that ZaDF is problematic, it's a perfectly healthy ship unless it's portrayed in the way ZaDR antis do. However, there's a specific age gap where that is and isn't okay. If they're only a few years apart (i.e. like 4 or 5 years) and they're online only that's fine, but saying a 12 year old should go hang out with a grown ass man in real life without his parents present is actually insane.
So, you want to portray ZaDF like that but if someone portrayz ZaDR as a healthy relationship between two legal people of the same age suddenly it's pedophilia and your ship isn't? And you're going to harass them, give them threats or straight up try to talk them into FUCKING SUICIDE over that??? You need to do some thinking about your own morals because this is just disgusting.
I personally have lost a friend in the past who was pushed to suicide by antishippers, it was in another fandom and out of respect for her, I will not mention the ship in question as I don't want to make her trauma public even if she's not here anymore. However, the reason I mentioned this is because this is the kind of thing antishippers can actually cause and it's insanity.
If I receive any more asks about this, I will not answer them nor will I give these people the attention they want. As I have been doing I will report the ask. Hiding yourself by being an anon will not protect your account from being reported or possibly terminated, just in case you weren't aware of that.
Get your shit straight, not everyone on the internet is a child predator just because you throw a word at them. And no, just because a ship is platonic does not mean it's healthy, especially if it's involving a young child and an older adult!!!
