In The Absence of God // Albert & Jacob // v7 w5 Friday Evening
Albert hadnât escaped the explosion completely unscathed. Oh no, there were several trophies he would be keeping for a long while, things that would allow him to boast of an impossible survival. Despite that, he had not taken the time to have a medic care for them thoroughly. He had taken the least amount of care that he could, and had been on his way.Â
How could he rest, when he still had so much to do? The story had to be finished, and he was the writer. That was what had been decided on the day of his Sight. Â But first things first. The unfaithful had to be punished.Â
Thereze had defied him, more than openly defied him. The few informants he still had left had told him that Jacob and Therezeâs relationship was on the mend. And that was just a shame. A shame because it was all about to end. Heâd danced into the hospital, cheerful and full of smiles. Everyone liked him oh yes who couldnât? A smile was everything. Always important to look your best, even when you felt your worst.Â
But was the worst really the worst? Or had it slowly become the best? No one knew...maybe Elena understood why, but he didnât. Didnât need to. He licked his lips, hungrily after finding Jacobâs room. The man was asleep, hooked to several tubes and for all purposes helpless. Just like when heâd originally been found, but now he was lost. He had to be found again. Jacob had to be punished, and so too Thereze.Â
âShhhhh----my darling one...â He whispered, sliding over to the bed where Jacob rested peacefully. Healing, dreaming of a new day. The pain would go away now, for him it would. He could dream forever now. A hungry glint lit his eyes as he snatched up a pillow, no time for theatrics. Get the job done. Finish it now...Let him suffocate. Let him dream...
