I think something that makes gameoverse work where a lot of other media fails is that there isn't anyone pointing out how weird the game mechanics are or questioning parts of the world

They're video game characters that have spent their whole life in the setting, of course they don't react to items appearing from your inventory or disappearing when used

If there was someone pointing these things out, it would just serve to make the setting as a whole feel less genuine overall

The powers use he/him pronouns to symbolize their closeness to the father, so I like to head canon that some angels after accepting god's death would use they/them or she/her pronouns

And the swordsmachines literally put themselves together

anyways, imagine a swordsmachine and a power coming to terms with themselves and shit, like does anyone else see the potential trans parallel yuri plot line

side note: there's quite a few similarities between the enemies -both can canonically talk -both despise getting parried -both wield swords as both melee weapons and projectiles -both are greater enemies -both are fought on the third level of their introductory layers -both have glowing blue parts -both have yellow as a major part of their color palette
