Where does your own ego show up in your practice? Do you get super mad when you can't do something or when you fall out of a pose 300 times? Or get upset when the person next to you can do a million things you can't imagine doing? I see this all the time in class, and I've definitely felt the range of emotions myself. I used just want to get into the pose, even if I was really only holding it for a second. I'm realizing now it's how I get there, my mind along the journey, not a being able to do a "trick". And I have a lot of work to do to get over the egotistical physical part of yoga. It's about mind control, body awareness and patience along with diligence. Never about showing off. Or Instagram, or a snapshot of how good you look. It's how you got there. (at Bodhi Movement)
