hiya, love love love the game so much <3 I'm curious, is there any backstory/lore behind Eight's name? (assuming they picked it for themself)

Glad you enjoyed the game! Eight gave themselves that name after they were turned. It's a bit of a dark joke — the mutation that causes some new vampires to become monstrous-looking is very rare and seems to happen at random, and eight is a lucky number for Chinese speakers since it sounds similar to the word for prosperity.

If any contestant besides the ROs would have a route, who would it be and why?

Each of the existing routes in Fledgling Manor thematically represents a different approach to being placed in a difficult situation, loosely inspired by Robert Merton's strain theory. Aanya represents conforming to the goals and means of the culture, Stefan represents retreating from them, and Eight is about rebelling against them.

Given that, we could conceivably have had a route about "innovating" — in Merton's theory, accepting the goals but rejecting the means — which in this context would mean cheating to win. That probably would have been Lilia, who would have little reason to play by the rules of the show.

Or maybe we'd just do a Jason route for the hell of it because we love that little rascal.

randomly came across fledgling manor looking around on itchio, saw it and went "sure why not". it's been 5 days and i am unable to think about anything besides stefan's dumbfuck route i love this idiot so fucking much. i want to kick his ass. i want him to kick MY ass. the psycho of all time. i hate him.
