it was oneof the rare and few times that she allowed herself to walk throughout the capital—especially now that summer was nearing its end and the harvest season would begin. This was a time when the kingdom would be at its peak in terms of labour, trade and celebrations. Autumn was when the goddesses banded together to provide the peoples of this earthly realm with their riches; Din made the earth soft and fertile, Nayru allowed the heavens to rain down upon the soil, and Farore blessed the toils of the mortals by giving the peoples back what they had worked so hard for.
This was also a time when the kingdom felt mostly at peace despite its vulnerability. There was a serene aura about Hyrule during what would become a few short months before the bitter cold enveloped them once more—a time where everything seemed ephemeral and so easily taken away, and possibly so with delayed notice. No doubt the farmers would be hard at work ensuring their crops lasted throughout the few weeks that were to come and to be occupied with storing away what was meant for them and for the shares that were locked away at the centre of the capital. She noticed all this while walking through the streets, dressed commonly as to not make the people feel as though they needed not to be themselves. Zelda had noticed such behaviour before—if she were about in some village and the people knew of her arrival, they became stiff and intimidated by her presence. And while that was not necessarily a bad thing, it made the queen feel as though she were feared.
Perhaps that was how it had always meant to be, she mused silently, a few stares were directed at her but she paid them no heed before disappearing into the alleyways that would lead her through the backstreets of one of the main quadrants. Aside from the merchants that usually took to setting up near the three main gates that let out into the fields, there were rows of shops and houses—all of which were peculiar in their design and curious as to what they possessed within. In passing, the queen had heard there resided a fortune teller here, and another of a man whom was consumed by wealth and his greed to possess all he could touch—or so the story went. And just as she was about to head further down the cobblestone path, a faint cricking sound alerted her—it was faint but also nearby.
There, upon her shoulder, sat a golden cricket. “Oh!” she exclaimed softly and held out a hand so that the insect was no longer perched there but within the palm of her hand. She could recollect that there was a little girl who lived here…uncertain if alone or with a guardian, but she proclaimed herself to be the princess of insects. A strange title, but it was not difficult to find out where she could be found, for the faint sound of cricking! and tinkling! could be heard from behind a window that was nearly overcome with vines. With the cricket still contained in her hand, fingers flexed lightly so that the insect would not be crushed, she knocked on the door and peered at the window once more before waiting.
◄ ☂ ►The air of haste and hubbub in Caste Town was virtually nonexistent within the realm of the Bug Kingdom. Her palace walls, lined with displays and her unique taste in decor, managed to fortify her well enough so that she did not have to be bothered with the land outside. Or perhaps it was her own head being so far in the clouds that obscured her perception of the world.
While the leaves faded into their seasonal browns and reds, and the townsfolk prepared themselves for the upcoming wintry months, Agitha only occupied herself with the matters of her small principality. After all, running a kingdom was equally as important as the harvests and the commerce that took place. It wouldn't be very long before the North East winds of Snowpeak swept across the land to chase away the lingering warmth. Her subjects would need her more than ever once the land outside became too frigid for them.
Increased attention was paid to the insects during the days of autumn. Her constant worrying and babying made her out to be more of a frantic mother rather than a sovereign at that time--not that such a thing mattered. Princess Agitha was the lone princess, she could behave how she pleased. However, it did provide an explanation for her panic upon finding that one of her citizens had vanished.
❝Mrs. Grasshopper, how could you let your husband wander off like this?!❞ Mrs. Grasshopper, who was much too occupied with the clover she had been served for lunch, had no explanation for her irritable princess. Agitha sighed heavily in her direction. ❝You've been being so rude lately...I bet that's why he left...❞ The latter half of that statement was said under her breath. It was not the ideal time to talk about the rough patch in the Grasshopper marriage.
Agitha continued the search on her own, only to be paused by a rap on the door. Strange...she hadn't been expecting visitors. ❝We have a guest, Mrs. Grasshopper...so please try to be polite like everyone else, okay?❞ She insisted as she crossed to the front door and turned the brass knob. Agitha was only able to catch a glance at the person at her porch before a familiar song redirected her attention to the person's palms. ❝Mr. Grasshopper! I've been looking all over for you!❞ As if the little bug could recognize the voice of his caretaker, he was quick to spring onto her hand. Agitha took a moment to dote on him, before glancing back up at his rescuer.
❝Oh, miss! Thank you, thank you! I missed him so very much...❞ Somewhere in the midst of that sentence the volume of her voice began to fade. Realization ran it's course quickly. A face she had only seen in rare glimpses or portraits crafted by disciplined hands. Perhaps in passing or from a distance Agitha would have been fooled that commoners garb, but it was difficult to mistake her when she was so very close.
If she viewed things through the same lens as the rest of the world, she might have been terribly nervous. However, as far as she was concerned she was the Queen's fellow royal and they were destined to cross paths at some point. The child giggled into her glove before bobbing into a cursty. ❝Your Majesty, it is a pleasure...and it's about time! We're practically neighbors and you've never been to Princess Agitha's Castle!❞

❝ Ah..my — hat? ❞
Gently would his own hand come to hold on to the fraying edge of the green cap that had served him well over the years ( clearly in need of mending once more ). It wasn’t odd for a stranger to be so infatuated with said article — in fact it was more common than one might think.
However, it was her mention of a friend, wearing the same article that had him intrigued.
❝ You know someone else who has the same thing? That’s so cool! ❞
◄ ☂ ► ❝Mhm! It's quite peculiar actually...you...❞ Eyes like violets flickered down to the boy's face just as her voice trailed into silence. She couldn't place his features, he was indeed a stranger. Yet she couldn't shake the notion that the two of them had crossed paths once before.
Suddenly, laughter streams from her lips, and she is brought out of her little daze again. ❝It's quite funny, actually! You both wear green tunics too! You're like a mini Grasshopper Knight! ❞ She never called him by his name. Forever and always, he was the brave and reliable Grasshopper Knight within the Bug Kingdom.
❝I thought that was only a fashion trend from...well, wherever he was from!❞
║It was a beautiful afternoon in Hyrule. The hot sun was beating on the prince as he strode through Castle Town. He was alone, without a guard or an escort, which was a welcome change.
Elbourne stopped walking abruptly, when he caught sight of a shop he had never taken notice of before. The sign on the exterior read: Agitha’s Castle. He raised a brow, intrigued to discover what was inside the shop and opened the door, with the intention of becoming acquainted with Agitha.║
◄ ☂ ►If there was a single place in Castle Town that stood as a separate world from the bustle of the city, it was Agitha's Castle. The door of her home served as a portal to a realm, where the noise and commotion from the townsfolk was left behind.
The lone ruler of this little principality sat in what most would consider to be perfect solitude, seated on the lush cushion of a chair, with a china tea cup pinched between her fingers. Agitha never felt alone in her castle. Her company existed in the form of tiny little bugs that glowed like like little lanterns. The insects filled the air with the sound of chimes, a trademark of the rare golden bugs. It was no wonder that the girl could sit for hours, simply staring as they flitted and crawled about.
A soft ❝Oh!❞ drifted from her lips once her daze was broken by the entry of an unfamiliar visitor. His arrival, while unexpected, was not unwelcome. She chirped, replacing her teacup on it's saucer before rising from her seat. ❝Welcome to the Bug Kingdom, sir! I am Princess Agitha!❞ The girl chirped before giving a proper curtsy. She could tell he was not from the area. His style of his fine clothing and the unfamiliarity of his face told her that much.
A Fly Prince's Intervention with a Insect Princess
"No cursing, got it— .." That’s when it clicked.
Oooooh no.
Just look, look as in look about this bug she’s gonna magically make appear from underneath her parasol!? A cold rush of fear pooled in Beel’s body as it was revealed. This was a moment that seemed to transpire in slow motion for the biggest of the three as it happened. Before their eyes was a sight that for the first time in a long time, caused specks of tears to breach his eyes while sparks began to dance upon his form. Close they were too close to this woman!
"Reel that bug back lady, along with yourself here—!" Bouncing back upon a single foot, just enough distance was made before it transpired.
This child cried a storm of electricity that rendered Oga a smoking heap on the ground. While Beel remained on top of him unharmed, simply shuddering as she tried to regain his wits about him.
‘How the hell does that still fuckin’ hurt after all of this..?’ He mulled over mentally, this was not a good start.
◄ ☂ ► Agitha yelped at the heinous frying of the older boy, clapping a defensive hand over her mantis. Magic was nothing she hadn't dreamed and experienced during her short, yet eventful life--still it was awe inspiring to see an infant with such electric power coursing through his soul. Of course, there would be more time to gush about magic babies once his father's death was confirmed.
❝Mister! Are you dead, Mister?!❞ The bug was deposited back into it's jar before Agitha rushed to the crispy man's side. Her frantic gaze centered the shivering baby for a moment, drawing a wave a sympathy. ❝Oh, oh, oh...I truly didn't mean it!I just hoped you and Mr. Mantis would be friends is all! But don't worry, I put him away! I promise!❞
Unsure of what to do with a recent victim of electrocution, Agitha tasked herself with fanning away the smoke that snaked the crumpled heap that was once a healthy man. ❝Listen, Mister! You can't be dead, okay? Who else will teach your baby to conquer his fears before he grows up?❞
Presents the princess with a clearing hummingbird moth.
◄ ☂ ►Cue a squeal that had the potential to shatter every glass surface in her home. Needless to say, Agitha was pleased with the Grayman's gift. ❝ Oh my goddesses! I've only seen the Hummingbird Clearwing in books! You must have come so far...these aren't native to Hyrule!❞
Excitement welled up in her head and heart, but she was certain to handle her newest subject with delicate hands. ❝ Oh li'l moth, li'l moth! What I wouldn't give to wrap myself in that olive coat of yours~❞
❝ You've made me so happy! Allow me to share my joy with you!❞ An orange rupee is placed in the stranger's possession, a common gesture towards those who act as bug donors. ❝ Bless your heart!❞
He hummed, tilting his head to one side. “Well, swords are quite natural to me, given my race and all. I am a sword, so wielding one myself makes much more sense.”
◄ ☂ ► ❝What's it like being a sword spirit? A sudden thought of being able to turn into a self wielding parasol on a whim brought about quiet laughter.❝ I think it's beautiful...the way you and Miss Fi fight the hoards!❞
♕ –; She once learned the people of the world were brother and sister once they met. They couldn’t exist without each other and kindness served as a strong glue. A small smile painted her face as she glanced up at the parasol. “Th-thank you. It is very bright today, I probably should have brought one out.”
◄ ☂ ► ❝It's my pleasure, miss! You know, I believe every girl should have a parasol as a companion!❞ Coincidentally, her own doubled as both a shield from the sun and a weapon when the circumstances called for defense. Yes, a useful companion indeed. ❝They're like little guardians..and they make you look quite elegant too! One of maroon or rosewood would suit you, I bet! It would bring out those pretty eyes of yours!❞
▩-Ah, so it was so the bugs with her would have something to eat. Shad couldn’t help but smile at how excited she was, Though it was a bit strange to see a young girl getting excited about bugs of all things. Still, it made him happy to see how excited she was over something like that.
"That makes sense," He said before sniffing at the potion she had opened. He tipped his head, trying to figure the scent out. All he could think of was trees, which he assumed that the butterflies would eat.
"You know, if you enjoy bugs so much, I am sure you could have a job of some sort with them when you grow up."
◄ ☂ ►. ❝ Oh, mister...I already have a job! Being the lone ruler of the Bug Kingdom, is the only job I'll ever need.❞ Little did he know, there was quite a bit of truth living in that statement. Her perpetual fantasies could very much remain a reality with the fortune she kept within the security of the Bank of Hyrule. The girl's current lifestyle, with all of it's fine dresses and luxurious amenities, could not be sustained without her inherited wealth.
❝It takes alot of work, you know...Maintaining my castle, and making sure each and every citizen is happy.❞ She exhaled a contented sigh at the mere thought of the world she had created all on her own. Living within ones own passion was as gratifying as it sounded. ❝It's important to do what you love. That way you'll be happy forever...right?❞

The constant wobbling as they move is a part of their disguise, making it seem as though the “leaf” is only moving because of a light breeze.
