emil tried to buy them out of the family and when they said no their son cut them out himself because he needed emil's help. and in the same breath took his mother's name.

and they had to watch from afar as he made his family and his business and i just think the only thing that made it bearable was knowing he was ostensibly happy.

and now he's dead.

lost time hits a lot harder when you know you can never make up for it.

Oh yeah I don't doubt that probability, I guess it's hard to know their exact feelings towards Gabriel either since we've seen so little of them so far.

But I definitely think grieving someone absent looks different in some ways, especially someone they have a frought relationship with. Even Adrien himself is pulled between missing him and cursing his name. Sometimes it feels like the ones Gabriel left behind are all mourning a Gabriel that partially died a long time ago, and now with him gone, he really will never come back.

I do have to say though. I absolutely think Gabriel's death was just as much of a suicide as an act of atonement. Just as much as I think it was an act of escape as it was of remorse.

And honestly part of me wonders if Adrien kind of knows that, even if he might not know the full extent of the circumstances.

#oh adrien definitely knows #or has a strong suspicion #he's more observant than i think he gets credit for. being isolated doesn't mean he didn't learn that skill #if anything having shitty parents makes you pick up on things faster

Hey guys! I'm scrambled, a storyboard artist, and this is my first ever tumblr account! I was rewatching miraculous and i realized i really miss fandom life. I used to be super active in fandoms on instagram/twitter back in the day but stopped as life got busy over the past couple of years, so I wanted to make a new account for posting fanart again and i thought tumblr would be a good place. I will most likely circulate fandoms, but for now I'm super into miraculous again (still need to sit down and watch season 6!
