I had a friend who used to say that every person should have three things that they can make really well. Not to toot my own horn, but the one thing I know how make really well is chocolate chip cookies. 💁🏼♀️One, because they’re my favorite and I make them a lot.
1. I start with the original Tollhouse recipe on the back of the chocolate chips. And don’t get fancy with boujee chocolate chips.
2. I only use butter because shortening is the devil. 🙅🏼♀️
3. I use 1 cup of dark brown sugar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar.
4. When creaming butter and sugar, don’t rush it.
5. To the dry ingredients, add 1 extra tablespoon of flour and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder. This makes them softer and fluffier. And me likey soft, fluffy cookies.
6. Do not overbake them. Allow them to rest on the cookie sheet for an extra couple of minutes and they will be perfectly done on the inside.
You can enjoy them right away while they’re warm. Or they are equally delicious with your morning coffee if you’re into that sort of thing.🙈 Happy Saturday!

Two job-hunting resources that changed my life:
This cover letter post on askamanger.com. A job interview guide written by Alison Green, who runs askamanager.
Shout-out to @ms-demeanor for putting these on my dash again, I’d like to add this exceptional interview question “answer guide” that explains traps and “the best” way to answer over 64 common questions. I don’t know who to attribute it to, but here it is: PDF from tri valley one-stop career center.
