God brings specific people into my life He wants me to serve or task He wants me to accomplish. Like Jonah, who went another way when God gave him an assignment (Jonah 4:2), I need to set aside my own feelings. I often try to impress God with good deeds or spiritual activity when what He really wants is obedience to His priorities. 

Loving Father, Help me to recognize our busyness and distractions for what they so often are--disobedience and inattention to the work you have given me to do.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.

To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.  (Isaiah 61:1,3)

Though we live n a fallen world where we experience pain and disappointment, the Lord can move us from despair to rejoicing, as we see in Isaiah’s prophecy about the coming of Jesus (isa. 61:1-3) The lord gives us hope when we feel hopeless, He helps us to forgive when we think we cant, He teaches us that our identity is in Him and not in what we do. He gives us courage to face an unknown future. When we wear the rags of ashes, He gently gives us a coat of praise.

When we face loss, we shouldn’t run from the sadness, but neither do we want to become bitter or hardened. When we think about God’s faithfulness over the years, we know that He’s willing and able to turn our grief to dancing once again-- to give us sufficient grace in this life and full joy in heaven.

Father God, you turned Jesus’s pain on the cross into my best gift ever. Deepen my faith that i may welcome your life changing love into my life. Amen.

Romans 8:31 (”If God is with me, who can be against me?!”)

Yesterday my devotion is about trusting the direction that God is leading me. I remember how God guide the Israelite on their way to the Promise Land. I found out the reason why He didn’t lead them to the shortest route which is Philistines way, instead He lead them to the round about in the wilderness. why? because he dont want the Israelite to be in war with Philistine, and instead He prepare them to the successful entry to Canaan. and even their journey to wilderness is hard God provided everything they need. they ive come to realized my situation. i always feel that im always in the depth of my situation, working but always not enough, the good life is so far from me, then i was reminded of the greatness of God to the Israelite, he is preparing me too, and while on my journey he is helping me and all i need to do is to trust him , let God lead the way. the journey is hard and seems like its hard to reach to the finish line, but God said the journey is worthy when i reach it. and he promise me that, NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO STAND BEFORE ME, BECAUSE HE WILL NE WITH ME LIKE HE DID TO MOSES. HE WILL NEVER LEAVE ME NOR FORSAKE ME. and thats the promise he made to Joshua that im claiming it too.

Lord, I gave everything to you last night. I know i cant do it alone. help me to be faithful to you and cling to your promises. Help me to grow in my faith and believe that you will do amazing things in my Life. Amen

The Easy Road? (Exodus 13:17-22)

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. (Exodus 13:17)

Life’s path is often difficult. So if we expect that God will always gives us an easy road, we may be tempted to turn our back on Him when the terrain gets tough.

If you’ve ever considered doing that, think about the people of Israel. When they were given freedom from the Egyptians after hundred of years of bondage, they took off for the Promised Land. But God didn’t send them straight home. He “did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter” (Exo.13:17) Instead He sent them on the hard road through the desert. In the short run, this helped them avoid wars. but in the long run, there was something bigger at work.

God used that time in the desert to instruct and mature the people He had called to follow him. The easy road would have led them to disaster. The long road prepared the nation of Israel for their successful entry into the Promised Land.

Our God is Faithful, and we can trust Him to lead us and care for us no matter what we face. We may not understand the reason for the path we are on, but we can trust Him to help us grow in faith and Maturity along the way.

Lord, I cannot see the path ahead, so I trust that the way is right and that it is the best road for me to take. Please encourage me, and teach me as I let you direct my path.

Then we concluded that if ardent evangelist like Paul, confined to prison, abandoned by friends, and facing execution could learn contentment, then we could too.

God doesn’t always change our circumstances, but He will change us.

Psalms 141:3 “Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.”

Mistakes are inevitable when we are learning a second language, including learning the new language of God’s love. at times our speech is contradictory because we praise the Lord but then speak badly of others. Our old sinful nature opposes our new life in Christ. What comes out of our mouth shows us how much we need God’s Help.

Our old tongue must go away. The only way to learn the new language of love is by making Jesus the Lord of our speech. When the Holy Spirit works in us, He gives us self-control t speak words that please the Father. may we surrender every word to Him!

As true followers of Christ we should be aware of the words that comes out of our mouth, for the tongue we used to curse others is the tongue we use in praising him. May our words be a blessing to others.

Important Reminders

Deuteronomy 6:6 “These Commandments that I give you today are to be on your heart.

When Moses addressed the Israelites just before they entered the land of Canaan, He urged them to keep all the commands God had given them. “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road...Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates” (Deut. 6:7-9)

Giving God’s word a visible place of honor in their homes and lives was a powerful daily re minder to “be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you..out of the land of slavery” (Deut 6:12)

Today, God reminds me to always remember His words, His promises by writing them down and post them on the area that i can always see them and memorize them.

e Lord encourages us to remember that as we obey His Word, we can depend on His faithful care for all that lies ahead.

Father, I am grateful for every reminder of your faithfulness and loving care. May I honor you by obeying your word.

Shattered and Scattered

“Time Heal all wounds”, but at the moment of the shattering, it is impossible to believe. You look for brighter days, But your view is through a soul that sees only gray. You are numb.

Painful event generate broken hearts. A relationship gone wrong..in any event, you do not feel like you can go another moment. Let alone another day. you may ask yourself, “am i depressed, oppressed or just being one big mess?”

Only God can med your brokenness. He is the Potter and His specialty is molding us and shaping us. We need to remain on the potter’s wheel to be restored, but often we run to others. It is wonderful to get support from a godly friend or prayer from your pastor. But this should be in addition to, not  substitute for time alone with the Lord. Relationship gone wrong? give them to Jesus and He will restored them

“Only Jesus can mend a broken heart, so don’t delay if you find yourself in need of repair.”

This is my personal devotion back in February 9, 2014, still struggling with my separation with the Father of my kids...that time i’m cleaning my Facebook and erasing all his pictures, coz for i believe that for me to move on is to forget everything about him...and i deleted them...and i ask Jesus to fix me . I can’t do it myself and ive learned alot from then.

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”  --Malachi 4:2

The Bible reveals that God indeed intervenes in the affairs f nations (2 Chronicle 7:14). And when God intervenes, He uses ordinary people. We may not be assigned huge task, but we can play our part to help bring about peace and the righteousness that exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34). We can do that through prayer.

I come to realized that ive been doing the right thing..ive been praying for a special person in my life who is going through a tough situation. its not about my country or a big deal to someone but for me who loves this person and so dearly to me im sure that im doing the right thing and praying for him is the only thing i can do right now.

Lord, I pray for this friend of mine, Coco of Mine that may He knows you as his personal savior, i pray that you use someone to introduce you to him and that whatever he is suffering right now is that you help him and he can rearrange his life according to your will. Give him the realization and that he can get out of the wrong relationship he is in right now. In Jesus mighty name...Amen!
