I saw this today and thought it was really well written because everyone promised I would be happier in recovery.
I wasn’t.
I tried but the false promise of happiness lead me right back here.
There is no magical transformation. You have to dig yourself out of your own grave with your hands. Either that or stay in the comfortable warmth of the ground until you run out of air.
