The glare that came from the child after that comment was almost deadly. She didn’t quite appreciate it, but she knew she’d get in trouble if she said anything mean and her Dad found out. So, she just huffed and crossed her arms. 

Then, she blew a raspberry right at the other. 

He snickers at her response but quickly seems offended by the raspberry she blew at him. He glares back at her after that a rather childish response from someone that’s supposed to be nineteen. 

He sticks his tongue out at her and blows a raspberry in retaliation.

She doesn’t seem phased by the raspberry being blown back at her. Tiny red eyes stared at him, before blowing yet another raspberry. For a moment, she almost laughs at the silliness, but she’s also close to kicking him. 

She puts her fingers in her mouth, pulling to make a funny face at him. As silly as it seemed, it was most likely for the same reason as the raspberry.

"I HEARD SCREAMING IS THERE A FIRE?" And cue Sonny busting into the inbox and totally wasn't pushed in here by a very loving mun.

         “Aye!” And cue the kiddo, Uh.. Just sorta. Sittin. Rather calmly one might add. Wheres the fire? Its her. She is the fire.

And they laugh a little. So, no fires-- Well, no life threatening fires. Which is good. “”Aye!” They repeat with a giggle. “Why the screaming?”

Cue a small ginger child tugging on the other’s shirt to get their attention. The reason? She’d lost something, and had found it, but wasn’t tall enough to grab it. Of course, she was too embarrassed to actually admit that, but she also knew without help, she’d never get it back without seriously hurting herself. 

So, here goes nothing.

Oh the reaction is instant and overly dramatic, as per usual.

“Just what do you think you’re doing you walking-talking cootie trap!?”

“You’re wrinkling my suit, little brat!”, he instantly steps away and stares down at her with a hand to his chest. Ugh, he has to disinfect this suit now! How could this little beast have approached without him noticing? He ought to be more careful in the future. “Where are your parents?!” He will sue!

She jumps back, visibly frightened by this outburst. She’s not really used to people yelling, save for Sonny. But that was never angry yelling directed at her. There’s a moment she just stares before she feels tears burning her eyes. 

And then she’s crying, much louder than expected from a quiet girl like her. And she can’t help it, she hated the reaction. She just wanted help getting her kite back. Mouse wipes at her eyes, but the crying doesn’t stop. 

The sound of very loud heels can be heard approaching.

Once the child ran into them Gai didn’t say anything. They just stood there staring down at the nervously fidgeting kid and holding out the silence to see what reaction they’d get. Finally though they commented “Is there a fire at the cookie factory?”

“Ah! No, no that’s fine! Thank you for the offer but it’s okay! I don’t mind spending it alone and don’t want to bother you guys! Thank you very much for the offer though.”

“You wouldn’ bother us! Momma has a lots of people over! Like Metta and Blooky and Mouse and Pap and so many people! And you’re gonna be alone! And being alone is sad, miss!”

Honestly, it was kind of surprising hearing someone that wasn’t their dad or Sonny saying they’d protect the child, but it did help ease a little anxiety. Still, their signing was small, and very to the point. ‘Playing with a friend.’ So, they weren’t in any immediate danger, no.

The sight of monster candy made them light up a little. To say Mouse had a sweet tooth was an understatement. Red eyes looked down at the candy, back up to G, as though asking silently if it was actually okay for them to have it.

G held his hand out a little farther, giving the child a glance over before speaking in a soft tone. “It’s ‘kay kid, you can take it, it ain’t gonna bite’cha.” He sunk down to their level, knees hitting the ground with a gentle thump, trying to show the child that he really didn’t mean any harm to them.

They slowly reached out to grab the candy, signing a very soft ‘Thank you.’ It was very quickly that they unwrapped it and put it in their mouth, a smile finally coming to their face. It was true, Mouse did love candy. It always seemed to make them feel better. 

“I-it’s really good.” Their voice came out so quiet, it was almost inaudible. But it was progress, anyway.

“Okay!” They smiled, doing as they were told and waiting. They’d decided to listen, not wanting to leave this conversation anyway.

Sonny had to think a little bit, as though their favorite color was a big decision. For a kid like this, it probably was. There were so many colors, after all. But sonny thought of one more quickly than suspected. “I like the color blue. It’s like the sky, and like my shirt! What’s your favorite color? Is it green? Like your hair?”

Kris thought about it for a moment, a small smile forming as she thought about an appropriate answer. “I think I actually like a baby pink the most, a very delicate looking color, pleasing on the eyes, y’know.” 

Legs crossing she looked at the other, thinking of another question to ask the child.

“What about your favorite animal?”

“That’s a super cute color! Like! Cotton candy and stuff! I really like cotton candy. I told Momma it’s like eating clouds!” They seemed to bounce a bit, the energy they had obviously more than they needed. There was a long ‘uuuuuum’ before they answered. 

“I like ferrets. They zip around and are really good at playing hide and seek! I’m not allowed to have one ‘til I’m older, though. But I am older! I’m almost eleven!”

Kris and G’s Thanksgiving Event

Does your muse not have family on the holidays to spend time with? Or perhaps they’ve disowned their family due to personal reason. Maybe they’re just a free-loader looking for some extra food? Then hop on by to Vallah’s Discord server for the Thanksgiving Event!

Rules:

Be kind ooc, that means respecting others ocs/interpretations of a character.

NO NSFW - The event is being held in a dining hall that Kris and G have scrapped up money to get rented, + children will likely be present. Keep the roleplay SFW !!

Anyone is allowed to join as long as you have a muse + an about page

The Event will start tomorrow evening at around 4 PM Pacific time (GMT 8 I believe) It will go until everyone has made their muse leave, and left for bed. As long as there are two muses still active in the dining hall then there can still be roleplay.

Please if you are going to bed for the night, make your muse leave !! This is only meant to be a one day thing !! Don’t leave people waiting for replies and then reply in the morning because I will be closing the channel when I wake or before I go to bed if no one is left.

Angst is fine, but don’t godmod/powerplay and make the event all about your character, it’s okay to explain to another muse why your character has joined, or what family trouble is going on, but if you try to do the ‘main character’ thing I’ll likely kick you.

You are free to stay after the event is closed, it’s just being held on my discord server for my mutuals, so you’re free to chill out there as well !!

It wasn’t the stature that bugged the child, it was just how they were around strangers. Their hands played with their skirt nervously, much like a shy child would. It took a hesitant moment as their eyes darted around until they decided to give an answer.

‘I’m Mouse.’ They signed, taking another moment to stare at the hand before carefully reaching out to shake it. That was the polite thing to do, right? Afterwords, their hands went right back to their skirt, nervously messing with it. 

“My name’s G. May I ask why you were running? It didn’t seem like you were afraid but I’d be happy to protect you if someone was chasing you.” He gives the child a small smile, winking at them as he tried to make himself seem like less of a stranger and more of a friend.

He bent back down, reaching in his pockets before pulling out some Monster Candy, and opening his palm towards them, seeing if they would take it, or if they truely were as cautious as they had come off.

“It’s nice to meet you, too!” They let out a happy giggle, but tilt their head a bit at the question. Their eyes don’t open as they look back, letting out a tiny ‘huh.’

“Momma probably is on her way. She can’t always keep up with me and claims I’m a ball of energy. She is here, though! Do you wanna meet her! She’s super nice and makes really good pie!”

“That’s okay sweetie. How about we sit here and wait for her real quick, give her a chance to catch up and such. We could get to know each other better in the meantime such as…. What’s your favorite color?”

Kris tried to remain calm around the child, hoping that she could make them wait for their mother. At this hour it wasn’t really safe to be roaming the park alone, even if the two were out for an evening stroll Kris had seen some rather shady figures lurking around in the park as of late, and couldn’t bare the thought of this child approaching someone that wasn’t as nice as they might’ve seemed.

They didn’t say anything, and at first didn’t even physically respond. Their eyes shifted a bit before they hesitantly grabbed the offered hand to pull themself up. There was a very discreet sign of the words ‘Thank you’, but it was obvious the child was still a little nervous around the stranger, shoes subconsciously kicking at the ground.

To the question, there was a slight head shake. No, they didn’t want to get themself hurt. Again, their signing was subtle, but still easily seen. ‘My skirt tripped me.’

G gave a soft sigh at the small child, backing up to give them space. He knew that a stranger could be intimidating, especially one of his stature, however he meant them no harm, and tried to show that through his body language.

“Name’s G, may I ask what your name is?”

He leaned down again, trying to match the child’s height to his best ability, reaching his hand out to shake their tiny hand, if they were comfortable with that.
