It's been a while since I've properly thrown myself into creating a new RP, but the worldbuilding brainrot has returned with a vengeance and I have four concepts currently fighting for dominance in my brain. So, naturally, I'm making it everyone else's problem... I'd love to know which of these you'd be most interested in joining!
Also, a little about me... I'm a massive worldbuilding nerd and particularly love creating lore, graphics, overarching plots, mysteries and quests/adventures that actually give characters things to DO alongside normal character interactions.
I'm open to running whichever concept wins on Tumblr or Discord!
I still absolutely adore Tumblr RP and its formatting/graphics/community culture, but I also feel like Discord lends itself really well to things like quests, party missions and smaller adventure groups. The only caveat is that... if we went down the Discord route, I would definitely be looking for a couple of mods/co-admins who actually understand the organisational/setup side of Discord roleplays, HAH!
Okay, poll now and then info below...
π 1. DRAGONS & RIDERS β HIGH FANTASY
A traditional dragon rider RP built around the bond between a dragon and the rider.
Dragons would come in different colours/types, with each colour associated with particular magical affinities. When a dragon chooses and bonds with their rider, that bond awakens powers within the human but the exact way those powers manifest would also be influenced by the rider's personality.
Think ancient bonds, dragon politics, magical abilities, dangerous quests, war, prophecy, exploration and stuff? Big threat which only a dragon's flame and a rider's magic can kill sorta vibe.
π 2. THE DRAGON SHARDS β POST-DRAGON FANTASY
Once, dragons ruled the skies. Now they're all dead. What remains of them has crystallised into magical shards, scattered throughout the world and some very few humans are capable of bonding with them. (Most die trying!)
Each dragon colour was once associated with a particular divine patron, and their shards retain fragments of that connection. A gold dragon's shard, for example, might grant abilities associated with its god's domains like solar magic, light, stars etc.
Characters would bond with these remnants and slowly discover what they can do, while uncovering what actually happened to the dragons, their gods and the world they left behind. Essentially: dragon riders without living dragons, divine magic, ancient mysteries, exploration and pretty magical rocks with potentially horrifying consequences.
π 3. FAE COURTS β ROMANTIC HIGH FANTASY
An original fantasy setting inspired by the court structure and atmosphere of ACOTAR, rather than using its actual world/lore. Characters would belong to different Fae Courts, with their magic shaped by the court they're connected to.
So yep.... court politics! Alliances! Rivalries! Ancient grudges! Romance! Dangerous bargains! Beautiful immortal people making catastrophically poor decisions? This is it lads. The focus would be on court intrigue, relationships, magic, politics and larger plots threatening the balance between the courts.
π 4. MAGICAL SPACE OPERA β SCI-FANTASY
The wildcard.
Think Star Wars meets Dune meets Crescent City, except we're building our own ridiculous magical galaxy from scratch.
Different planets, cultures, factions and species connected through space travel, with enormous ships crossing the galaxy, but magic still exists.
Mages serve as powerful guardians/enforcers within this civilisation, and something is beginning to threaten the stability of the galaxy.
Space exploration. Magical combat. Political conspiracies. Strange planets. Ancient cosmic mysteries. Small crews getting sent on missions. Potentially enormous galaxy-wide story arcs.
Basically I want to put fantasy characters on spaceships and see what happens. Hey, we all love jedi and sith xoxo.
SO WHICH ONE WOULD YOU ACTUALLY JOIN?

Please vote based on the one you'd genuinely be most excited to write in and feel free to reply/reblog with thoughts because I'd LOVE to hear what specifically appeals to you, what you'd want from the setting, and whether you'd prefer Tumblr or Discord. Help me there....
And if any potential modly people are lurking... hello!
Help us decide what fantasy roleplay to create! We're super torn and we have a lot of the foundations already done for each idea... so vote away and help us decide! We're still torn between tumblr or discord roleplaying too.... (Our pinned post has more details on it~)
