This Summer Vueling cabin crew have a new reason to step up their strut as they parade through airports around Europe. The Barcelona-based budget airline has just released their new uniforms, and we give the chic, cabin crew designed looks, a big Fly Guy salute of approval.
Grey scarves are now worn by pursers in contrast to the yellow worn by other cabin staff; crew will also be wearing gloves for the performance of in-flight services
Vueling’s innovative spirit and constant evolution are reflected in the new uniforms to be worn starting this summer by the more than 2,000 cabin attendants employed by the airline. The idea behind the redesign project, which took more than a year to complete, was to project a more modern image, emphasising the values of professionalism, experience, friendliness, and elegance. The new attire is part of a larger effort to transform passengers’ flying experience.
For the new image, the airline decided to involve cabin staff in the entire process, and more than 75% took part by submitting hundreds of sketches, making suggestions, expressing opinions, and responding to surveys. Cabin crew members worked alongside professionals to create the final designs.
Watch the Design Process Here:
Key changes to the new designs include grey scarves or neckties worn by pursers in contrast to the yellow worn by other cabin staff; the wearing of gloves for the performance of all in-flight services; chevrons on the sleeves of male staff; a choice of one-piece dresses or blouses with skirts or trousers for females; and newly designed overcoats.
