"Yo, Robin! Got a strange reading outside on the lawn. And, uh, seein' somethin' strange out there, too."
Victor Stone, known to most as Cyborg, spoke into the receiver end of his communicator as he stared down from one of the tallest parts of Titan Tower, his mechanical eye shifting as it zoomed in on the figure that had just appeared out of nowhere. Confusion wrinkled the flesh side of his brow as he took in the sight of... a girl? "Looks like a girl."
"A girl?" The voice on the other end of the receiver huffed through hard breathing, a sign that Robin was hard at work in the training room yet again. "You sure it isn't Starfire or Raven?"
"Preeeeeeetty sure. Don't remember Star having multiple eyes or Rae having wings."
Silence from the communicator. Cyborg waited a long few moments before prodding, "Rob? You still with me?"
"...Yeah. I'm with you." Despite his words, Robin's voice sounded distant. Distracted. Which never boded well, in Cyborg's opinion. And from past experiences. "You said she's on the grounds?"
"Walkin' up to our front door right now."
"Right." A crackling sigh echoed down the comm line before Robin gave the order. "Let her in. I'll meet her down at the entryway."
"Whoa-whoa-WHOA, what? You just wanna let some random girl in? You?" That was way out of the norm. "Robin, are you makin' a joke or somethin'? 'Cause lemme tell you, man, it's about Beast Boy levels of funny-"
"It's not a joke, Cyborg. I'm on my way down already. Make sure the doors are open when I get there, will you? Robin out."
"Robin-Rob, wait-! ...and he hung up. Great." A deep groan escaped as Victor ran a hand over his face, before moving to open the keyboard connection in his arm, using it to remotely unlock the front door. "I hope you know what you're doing..."
Robin did not, in fact, know what he was doing. He honestly wasn't sure if this so-called visitor was what he thought, but that wasn't stopping him from practically running through halls, ignoring the elevators for the convenience of the stairs. He was breathing harder than ever as he burst into the main lobby of the Tower, where the Titan's main living space opened around him. Sunken living room below the kitchenette, a huge, wide window that could double as a television, through which he could see...
