You clearly don’t appear to understand the past-tense “was”. In any case, I don’t have to take shit from some jumped-up little fuckwit who wrote a sprinkling of semi-popular Game Boy tunes over half a year ago.

You seem like the type who pumps out a few uninspired instrumental tracks every now and then, and then slaps pony branding all over them to prevent them from slipping into the total obscurity that they deserve. Aside from the pictures on the YouTube videos, most of your music actually has extremely little to the fandom the made it famous - and the fact that you relied solely on that shows that even you have no faith in the quality of your own chiptunes.

You’re no Yuzo Koshiro, I’ll put it that way. Even your most popular tracks sound like someone performed a Dementor’s Kiss on LittleScale.

That was my “I’ve finally made it” victory laugh, but yeah, it didn’t mean anything malicious (I stopped using fandom numbers to measure my success a long time ago). Honestly, every time you guys have been on that list, you’ve deserved it - and it’s all subjective anyway, so #59 doesn’t even mean much in the grand scheme of things.

(And you made it to #48 with Life As We Know It, so even if I was being a serious arse over it, you’d have won out :P )

But again, we don’t compete with eachother. Maybe it wasn’t obvious that I was joking, but I’m really not that mean-spirited. Certainly not enough for my first reaction to something like that to be “yay, I’m better than everyone else”.

Because I know I’m not. I’m a lot of things - a jealous bastard, a drama queen, a bitter cynic and a sore loser, to be specific - but I’m not better than everyone else, and I’m not one to lord it over others when someone says I am.
