So. Guess who just accidentally took a month's hiatus?
I'm so sorry. I've been distracted by my other blog to the point of leaving this one in the dust, and I promise it will be more active in the near future.
The illusory copies suddenly disappear as the serpent stops, appearing near the Grass-type. She rears her head, and without a command beyond the vague statement she delivers a Heat Wave. Not a perfectly accurate move, but powerful, and one would be hard-pressed to miss such a literally-rooted foe.
[Her and Pansy stood still and on alert as they awaited their opponent’s next move. This was usually Gardenia’s strategy when battling pokemon types who had an advantage against grass types. She’d be on the defensive; gauging on how strong and quick the challenger’s abilities are.
Suddenly the serpent’s doppelgangers disappeared. And in a flash a burning wave of hot air impacted the Bellossom. She was being pushed back from the strong gale of heat; the roots were barely holding her down. Slowly, one by one, the roots began to snap.
Wh-tch!
The final root snapped off sending the Flower Pokemon flying.]
Pansy! Quickly use Giga Drain!
[Quickly the Bellossom managed to stop her self from flying by striking her feet into the ground; causing her to skid back. She focuses on the flying serpentine and in moments the other pokemon began to glow a light green. The Flower Pokemon then promptly utilized Giga Drain; sapping out as much energy she can from the ‘mon. The move would not be very effective, however, because of the typing.]
Eos triumphantly blasts scorching air at the flower Pokémon, watching it be knocked back by the force, satisfied, before pulling back and up into the air slightly slightly.
A small grin breaks on Matt's face as the move connects. He pulls his arm back, doing a small fistpump. He doesn't visibly issue any command, however, just seeming to be watching the battle progress from afar. Which, in fact, he is: Eos is making her own decisions here, as they've trained to do.
What's the point to a human controlling a Pokémon like a puppet?
None at all, really.
Eos seems to have one strategy on her mind after setting up: power. The Giga Drain barely does anything at a 4x resistance, with Eos merely floating still as she lets out a puff of flame with a trilling laugh noise. ("You'll need to try harder than that, kid.")
And then, dashing forward again, she unleashes another wave of heated air.

The celestial serpent flares her wings, darting about with the species’ characteristic speed quick enough to leave behind afterimages. Quetzalisk defenses are low enough that defensive boosting moves don’t make a huge difference, so evasion-boosting works better most of the time.
[Orange hues widen in awe as the foreign pokemon soared into the air. As the serpentine spreads her wings, Pansy’s jaw slightly lowered in wonderment. Although, just as soon as the other expanded her wings; it began to move at an incredibly fast speed which made her seem like she was creating duplicates of herself.
The Bellossom and her trainer tried their best to keep their eyes focused on the fairly large pokemon as she darted above the ground.]
Very fast, well, we should be extra careful then; Pansy, use ingrain!
[As soon as the command was given, the flower pokemon rose her arms into the air. Brown roots began to sprout from under her petal-like skirt into the ground. It was obvious that the other pokemon was fast enough to evade her moves, so, the two toned haired girl assumed that the serpent would be fast enough to land damaging blows as well. Recovering a bit every so often would be helpful in this fight.
The Bellossom stayed in her spot; rooted down into the soil. She was prepared for any attack the opponent will use, however, there was a high possibility of a critical and super effective blow.]
Just taking a passive approach? Fair enough, he thinks, nodding slightly. Setup is always a pretty good option, though less so when you're staring down the obvious type difference. Makes things easier for him, though...
He stands ready for battle, although as casually as most things he does: lightly turned to the side, arms at his side with hands lightly balled, he tilts his head slightly, pointing at the Bellossom rooted to the ground.
Easy target, huh?
"Eos... get 'em."

"Let’s do the six-badge one, then… this’ll be fun!"
[A smirk of delight graced the gym leader’s face. The challenger could’ve done the easy win route, but decided on the fun option. She was glad for she always loved a challenge. Even though she is considered the second gym in the league, Gardenia is not a weak gym leader. It only seems that way because most trainers like to follow the official order of tackling the gym leaders. Since she is second on the list, she usually has to use her weak pokemon against a challenger who usually has two badges.
But, every once in a while someone who doesn’t follow the official order enters her gym. That’s when the orangette can really have some fun. A glint of determination and excitement is seen in her eyes as she takes out a pokeball.]
It’s been a while since I’ve had a a challenger with six badges! I love all my grass types, but these guys are the ones that stuck with me the longest!
[She tosses her pokeball, sending out a Bellossom. She twirls happily upon being released.]
Bel!
Pansy, are you ready?
Bellossom! [She chirped in excitement and twirled once more.]
There wasn't much of a reason Matt chose the Grass-type gym first. Maybe it was type effectiveness, or maybe he just liked the town. In any case, he grins at Eos beside him.
"Ready to go...?" She nods her head, flying out onto the battlefield.
"Time to do this... you know how it goes..." Eos flies up as Matt calls out a command.
"Eos, use Double Team...!"

Uh, whoops, turns out an improperly-coded tool made that first code not work right. A properly-solvable one will be provided shortly.
Duplishy (I could not resist)
A small wheeze escaped him as the name inspired a burst of excitement. His eyes widened slightly at the name, and he couldn’t help but smile broadly.
"Duplishy!"
"I’m not the most versed on Linagan Pokémon, but let me tell you about how GREAT Duplishy sounds to me.
Despite it not starting out as a Ghost Pokémon in its pre-evolved form, this pokemon boasts a lovely dual-typing of Ghost AND Normal. Do you know that that means!? Look at the Dualumian Spoose evolutionary line! This basically covers the pokemon from it’s weakness to Ghost-type moves AS WELL AS give it the power boost from the move. It’s a wrecker on the field, simply because it’s SO HARD to get rid of.
Oh, did I mention that it sports quite the impressive defence for a ghost pokemon? This thing will knock you out and LAUGH at your attempts to get rid of it.
The only issue I can see is speed, but with your handy-dandy Trick Room, this pokémon is a BEAST you do NOT want to meet in an alley-way!”
At this point, it was safe to say Colm was lost in his giddiness.
"As for the lore surrounding Duplishy, I’m still looking through that right now. But I can safely say that they’re quite charming. Matt’s Nyarla is absolutely adorable. She’s such a sweetheart. And she has an amazing ability that makes her defence even MORE of a threat when asleep.
I…
I really want a Duplishy. They’re so adorable, especially in their little hats. I’d train them from a Shyde if I had to. They’re just so cute and powerful, I want to go out and at least be friends with some. I bet they’re lots of fun at some games too~.”
I have something to note.
I now have a second, separate RP blog. I’ll be dividing my time between both blogs. Feel free to follow there, though I likely won’t be doing too many non-Citta RPs. If you ever need to contact me, I can access my personal from both and you’re welcome to drop a message there.
"She’s still out somewhere right now, though…" He passes another treat to Asklepian. "Later, though…"
Wendy looked to him. Ella yawned
He's finished his food, just sitting back casually.
"Yeah, but… well, she couldn’t teach you Calm Mind, but she could like… use the ideas to help you focus…?” He shrugs. “Worth a try…”
"Sure i guess." She looked up at the clouds again.
