In Over Your Head || Blaintana
Blaine hummed to himself as he followed, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he looked around. Everything looked incredibly expensive and fancier than his taste would ever be, but the vampire figured he could get used to it if he stuck around long enough. Once they reached Santanaâs inner sanctum, he looked around at all of the portraits, trying to place why some of the faces in them looked familiar.
âWait, youâre Don Lopez?â the male asked, looking back to Santana after she spoke with a bit of disgust on his face. âYouâre the one that sent half my clan to their death and put the rest of us in that shit hole downtown for seventy years?â Blaine shook his head as he stepped back, eyes turning red and fangs instinctively coming out as he got angrier. âYour business shouldnât mean shit when youâre destroying families.â
Santana smirked, folding her hands together and placing them on the surface of her glass desk, âThat would be the very one.â She rolled her eyes watching Blaineâs angry display with amusement, lifting her hand when her closest man moved to take the vampire out, âUh-uh, thatâs enough of that. I can take care of this..â The demon rose from her chair, power radiating from her as she stepped over  to the male, eyes turning black as she stopped before him, âMy thralls are little protective when it comes to people trying to threaten me, but youâre new around here. Iâll let it slide just this once.. Youâre clearly too much of a baby vamp to know what really happened with your family. Thatâs fine, Iâm more than happy to fill you in.â she gestured to her goons, âOut, both of you. I have business to attend to.âÂ
Waiting until it was just the two of them in her office with the door closed, Tana turned her attention back to the vampire, looking him up and down, âNever would have guessed you were a part of that clan.. You have so much more potential.â She hissed, hand gripping his jaw tightly so that he couldnât look away as she spoke to him, âWhat you donât know is the reason I banished your family to that shit hole they donât deserve. Honestly, theyâre lucky they even got that.. I could have had them all killed or worse; Planted them in my garden. But I chose to show mercy on them as warning for what would happen if anyone ever crossed me again.â The raven haired female fixed her eyes on Blaine, staring at him so intensely that it was as if she were trying to read his soul, âYou see baby vamp, about seventy years ago I was at the start of my power here, I commanded every mystical corner of this town for the first time in centuries and I was fair.. More than, if Iâm honest, but your family took that as a sign of weakness and tried to exploit that little fact. First they asked for money, trying to build a front to the public, wanting to blend in, so I gave them a hefty loan. When time came to pay they spat on my charity, told me that my days were numbered now that the vampire faction was getting a nice steady supply of tourists to feed on. So I fought back, this is my town and they needed to know it, as did every other stinking faction ion this place. I had their blood bars shut down, took away the licenses for their club and had it reprocessed under my name. I gave them a choice to get out and run but instead they did this.ââ She took a step back and turned, dropping her robe to just below her waist to show off a nasty scar just inches away from where her heart was, âThey tried to kill me, so yes, I had them banished, but not from my town. No, I taught each and every one of them a lesson theyâd never forget. I killed the elders, in the middle of the vampire quarter and then I told them that anyone who tried to run or fight back would be sentenced to a fate worse than death.â The demon pulled her robe back up and tied it once more as she span back around with her hand on Blaineâs throat, âAnd that little vamp, is why you feed of rats and strays down town.. Because your family grew too big for their boots.â She smiled once more, âDonât believe all you hear from them, the years have twisted their version, youâre more than welcome to read the archives if you want, everything is documented.â
