Volunteer @ EIC Pitch Competition

I volunteered at a Pitch Competition at Bowie State University on Oct.24. It was an exciting opportunity for me to learn the ropes behind the behind the scenes of production as well as see the talent that was lined up for the event. The day started with us being there at 12:00, although I came a lil late I really came on time as when I got there the other I was working with showed up as well. We got out badge, t-shirt and were directed to our positions where there was food. I ate a whole bunch but watched my diet and was in charge of "protecting the food" lol how greedy lls. After a while I was curious and was asked if I wanted to come inside. I came inside and seen the studio for the first time in MLK, it was nice and overall a great opportunity and experience.

Lesson 5

What is red eye, and how do you correct it in Photoshop? Red eye occurs when a camera flash is reflected in the retinas of a subject’s eyes. To correct red eye in Photoshop, zoom in to the subject’s eyes, select the Red Eye tool

Why might some parts of the Photoshop workspace become inaccessible or hidden, such as the Color and Layers panels? And how do you return to the normal workspace? You are probably in a dedicated work space and Window > Workspace menu can change everything.

How can you create a panorama from multiple images? To blend multiple images into a panorama, choose File > Automate > Photomerge, select the files you want to combine, and click OK

Which common camera lens flaws can the Lens Correction filter fix? The Lens Correction filter can fix common camera lens flaws such as barrel and pincushion distortion, in which straight lines bow out toward the edges of the image (barrel) or bend inward (pincushion); chromatic aberration, where a color fringe appears along the edges of image objects; and vignetting at the edges of an image, especially corners, that are darker than the center.

Once you’ve made a selection, what area of the image can be edited? Only the section within the image

How do you add to and subtract from a selection when using a tool such as the Quick Selection or Lasso tool? To add to a selection press shift or press Alt

How can you move a selection while you’re creating it? To reposition a selection as you’re creating it, keep holding down the mouse button as you also hold down the spacebar and drag

What is the difference between the Quick Selection tool and the Object Selection tool? The Quick Selection tool attempts to detect content edges, while the Object Selection tool attempts to recognize subjects (such as people) and objects in the image.

How does the Magic Wand tool determine which areas of an image to select? What is tolerance, and how does it affect a selection. The Magic Wand tool selects adjacent pixels based on their similarity in color. The Tolerance value determines how many color tones the Magic Wand tool will select. The higher the tolerance setting, the more tones are selected.

You can click a highlighted object you want to select, or drag around it, and the resulting selection will follow the outline of the object. 5 What tools can you use to remove blemishes in an image? You can use the Remove tool and Generative Fill. Healing, cloning, patching tools.

6 What are some ways Generative Fill can help retouch an image Filling large deleted areas in a convincing way, either by matching the background or generating new objects

Under Armour Internship First Blog

I attended an Under Armour internship interest meeting at Bowie State. It was an inspiring experience that opened my eyes to the opportunities within the sports industry. I was particularlyfascinated by the innovation and teamwork that Under Armour embodies, reflecting their commitment to empowering athletes and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The representatives shared valuable insights about the company culture and the various internship roles available, highlighting how interns can contribute to exciting projects while gaining hands-on experience.

The meeting also provided a platform for networking, allowing me to connect with fellow students who share similar interests and ambitions. I appreciated the Q&A session, where I could ask questions about the application process and the skills needed to succeed in the internships. Overall I enjoyed the process as this is a neighborhood brand we have seen over the years.
