TMNTROTP UPDATE! SPLINTER TIME!

Yoshi Hamato - 45 (410 in actuality but that’s hard to explain here I will later) - He/Him - Lab Rat Mutant

Yoshi is a very well meaning Rat. When he escaped his laboratory confinement with the turtles he adopted the four of them as his own, teaching them to fight like they did in 16th century feudal japan to protect themselves as that’s what he did when he was young.

Yoshi is a wise man, being a prominant figure for his sons. He is introverted but lights up inside when his sons are happy, proud of every single one of them.

However, even with his positive influence on the boys, Yoshi is cowardly. He'd rather hide in the sewers than face the ones hes scared of most. He trains his sons not to fight but to protect themselves. If it was up to him they wouldnt leave at all but he knows thats not fair to them.

Wow holy crap im posting here for the first time in three years

I’ve gone down the TMNT rabbit hole and feel like sharing my own iteration. A lot of it feels sacrilegious, but I swear I have my reasons (most of which are just “I thought it was cool and I get to do whatever I want”)

These are my designs for the turtles!

Raph is a leatherback sea turtle

Mikey is a western painted turtle

Donnie is a green sea turtle

Leo is a western pond turtle.

These are the turtles I chose because… my TMNT takes place in Seattle instead of New York!!

Now BEAR W ME I SWEAR IM NOT CRAZY. I chose Seattle over New York because I live very close to Seattle, and I honestly think it’s a really good setting for a TMNT story!!

Each of the turtles I chose are native to the Pacific Northwest area!

I’d love to post more about this if people end up liking it!

For now, the placeholder name is pnwmnt (pacific northwest mutant ninja turtles), so I’ll tag it as such for the time being.

Raphael Hamato - 25 - He/Him

Raph is a Leatherback Sea Turtle, a heavy hitter that is currently trying to handle his anger issues one therapy session at a time. He’s majoring in liberal arts, but will deny it to the grave. He does truly want to to good, but his short temper often gets in the way.

He was given the title of leader when they were teens as he was the eldest of the four. Soon enough though, the title shifted onto Leo.

Leonardo Hamato - 23 - He/Him

Leo is a Western Pond Turtle, the team’s overly confident leader who often acts more based off his heart than his mind. He may be absentminded at times, but he truly wants nothing more than to make sure his brothers are safe. He’s currently between majors currently (for the third time this semester.) but surely cosmetology is his calling!!

He was made leader of the group after Raph had voluntarily stepped down, choosing Leo to take his place. For a long time, Leo wasn’t sure why Raph had chosen him, but after a while he finally began to adjust to the change in dynamic between him and his brothers.

Michelangelo Hamato - 23 - Any Pronouns

Mikey is a Western Painted Turtle, and is the extrovert of the team! He’s the artist of the family, using his talents in a lot of different ways- such as drawing, painting, cooking and more. They’re majoring in theatre, hoping to become an actor someday!

Mikey and Leo are my twins, finally making her not the youngest. The two have their squabbles, but they’ve been basically inseparable since mutation. Mikey sometimes finds it hard to take Leo seriously, but as time has gone on, they’re starting to.

Donatello Hamato - 22 - He/It

Donnie is a Green Sea Turtle, and the brains of the team. He can often be found working on inventions or his car, which was a complete rework project he stole from a nearby scrapyard. He’s majoring in computer sciences, and is probably doing the best academically in all of his classes.

Being the youngest meant that his brothers didn’t take him seriously, so he found that making inventions and using his intellect was the only way to prove himself to his family.

April O’Neil - 26 - She/Her

April is the closest friend and honorary sister of the turtles. She’s majoring in marine biology, hoping to become a journalist in the field. She’s known the family since she was a kid, after she had helped one of the brothers out after they had gotten badly hurt. After that, the lair had become essentially a second home to April, and the Hamatos a second family.

Casey Jones - 24 - He/Him

Casey is also a close friend of the Hamatos, often spending more time with them than at his own home. He’s technically an art major, but is really only in college due to a hockey scholarship. He and raph are basically inseparable and are definitely not in a relationship (they are and everyone knows, but don’t say anything).
